When I arrived in the courtroom, I took my seat and waited for the bride and groom and the judges to arrive.

Prima di entrare nell’aula, Půta si fermò un momento. Sistemò le sue vesti e respirò profondamente per ritrovare la calma. Poi avanzò, i suoi passi erano lenti e sicuri. Entrando, si inchinò al Relatore Caleroide, già seduto al suo posto, quindi raggiunse il proprio banco e si sedette.

Before entering the courtroom, Půta paused for a moment. He adjusted his garments and took a quiet breath to steady himself. Then he moved forward, his steps were slow and steady. As he entered, he bowed to Rapporteur Caleroide, who was already seated, and then walked to his place and sat down.

Il Decano del Tribunale della Rota Romana scrutò l’aula, constatando l’assenza di uno degli sposi e di un giudice. Con la consueta gravità, prestò quindi giuramento e provvide a designare un nuovo membro del collegio per la trattazione della causa.

Io, Ettore Asburgo d'Argovia, giuro di adempiere correttamente e fedelmente al mio incarico di giudice per questo processo.

The Dean of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota surveyed the courtroom and noted the absence of one of the spouses and of a judge. With due solemnity, he then took the oath and proceeded to appoint a new member of the panel for the hearing of the case.

Udite le parole di Sua Eminenza pose la mano sul Libro delle Virtu' e pronunciò il suo giuramento

Io, Adelasia, giuro solennemente sul Libro delle Virtù davanti a questo tribunale, davanti al Sacro Dogma della Chiesa Aristotelica e davanti all'Altissimo che veglia su di me e mi giudica, che tutto ciò che dirò è la verità e nient'altro che la verità, senza alcuna menzogna o reticenza, e che non nasconderò nulla a questo tribunale affinché faccia trionfare la Santa Verità. Se infrango questo giuramento, che la mia anima sia eternamente dannata nell'inferno lunare.

I, Adelasia, solemnly swear on the Book of Virtues before this court, before the Sacred Dogma of the Aristotelian Church, and before the Most High who watches over me and judges me, that everything I shall say is the truth and nothing but the truth, without any lie or omission, and that I will hide nothing from this court so that the Holy Truth may prevail. If I break this oath, may my soul be eternally damned in the lunar hell.
