From History of the Franciscan order:

FrereNico a écrit:

The 6 pillars of the Franciscan order

The pillar of charity

When created, the main task of the order was to bring help and confort to the vagrants and the poors, thus several actions were undertaken for the outcasts. Franciscans are benevolent souls helping the poors, the lepers, and other outcasts. We bring our advises and give our help to all.

The pillar of faith

This order is of course religious, consequently we carry on a mission of evangelization, franciscans beeing excellent preachers. First and foremost to convert the people to franciscan ideas, praising the kindness and magnanimity of its members. But also for the Aristotelian Church values in general, trying to bring together all soon to be ecclesiastics in order to be operational when the time comes.

The pillar of knowledge

The Reason and the quest for Truth is a dogma of our order. The knowledge is then very prized. Universities and libraries are the consecration of this knowledge. Brothers and sisters try their best to be informed of events in the temporal world. So as not to sink in ignorance. [OOC: Furthermore we support as players a realistic History in the game, and avoid the fantastic, Inquisition should be called against such "heresies").

The pillar of friendship

Franciscans try to be very invested, civil and fraternal between each other. Wisdom and moderation are expected. We are in good relationship with other orders and guilds, trying to have amiable relationship with them. We try to be present everywhere it is possible in the universal world.

The pillar of the spiritual

Brothers and sisters try to make lively the religious life of the parishers by bringing spirituality in the temporal. [OOC: as such the RP is one of the essential key to be a franciscan, trying to be active among the villagers but also with the upper class, starting rich theological and ideological debates.

The pillar of the Temporal

Franciscans are of course involved in the temporal, as much in the economics as in politics. The manual work is a necessity for the members of the order, this is a will of Saint Francis himself.
Fro the higher spheres of politics, the case is more complex:

The order try to be as much as possible present in county election lists, all candidacies are then accepted and even cheered. And more than an important position, we are looking for a position of adviser or of representative for the Order.
However the franciscan order stays above all lists and party. We must keep a strong and effective cohesion.
