The Cardinal wanted to be present at these baptisms. He sat aside in prayer after blessing those present.

Christopher had never been to such a marvelous building. He felt out of place and humbled. He wore all white for the ceremony. He prayed quietly for Aristotle's guidance and Christos' mercy as he awaited baptism.

[Bran]

Bran arrived at the baptism in simple attire, plane pants and shirt tied with a belt, his hair loose and short cropped. The sites of rome were becoming more familiar to him with each visit, but he was to attend the ceremony of two new irish souls being baptised into the church, as part of their path towards becoming clergy. It was a momentous day for the revitalization of the church in Ireland, and he wanted to see it through.

People are still finding their seats so Christopher asks Bran in a hushed voice about some of the architecture and what it signifies.

When the time had come and all the guests present, Father Francesco Maria positioned himself at the entrance of the Baptistery with the two catechumens and the godfather and began the rite:

"Adjutórum nostrum + in Nómine Dómini"

and those present replied:

"Qui fecit cœlum et terram"

then he turned to the two catechumens:

"Quo nómine vocáris?" (What name would you be called with?)

He rose and spoke in a loud clear voice, not just for the officiant, but for all to hear.

"Christopher Kildare"

Loki took a long second to think about it, the possible implications and such. He tried to find the best answer possible, but there was none to be had. All of them had holes and all of them came with a cost anywho.

He sighed as he rose his sight and answered. Loki.

Smiling at the two catechumens, he went on to ask:

"Christopher Kildare et Loki quid petis ab Eccclésia Dei?" (what do you ask from the Church of God?)

I ask the waters of baptism to cleanse me from my sins and the privilege to serve Christos and Aristotle with all my heart.

"Fidem, quæ mihi préstat vita ætérnam."

(The faith, that grants me the eternal life.)

After the response of the two catechumens he approached them for a part of the rite of great symbolic value. He first approached one then the other and blowing three times on their face said in front of each:

"Exi ab eo, immúnde spíritus creatúræ sine nómine, et da locum Spíritui Altíssimi."

(Exit from him filthy spirit of the unnamed creature, and leave place for the spirit of the Most High.)

then he continued by tracing a sign of the cross over them and with his arms outstretched he recited the prayer:

"Preces nostras, quæsumus, Dómine, cleménter exáudi: et hunc eléctis Tuis Christopher Kildare et Loki, quem ad rudiménta fídei vocáre dignátus es, perpétua virtúte custódi: Qui vivis et regnas per ómnia sæcula sæculórum. Amen"

(Fullfill our preys, O Lord, and preserve with perpetual custody this elects of Thine, that Thou called at the rudiments of the faith: Thou who live and reign forever and ever. Amen)

then accompanying the two catechumens by the hand, he approached them to the baptismal font saying:

"Ingrédere in templum Altíssimi, ut hábeas partem cum Prophétis Ejus in vitam ætérnam."

(Enter the temple of the Most High, in order for you to partecipate with His Prophets to the eternal life.)

All present replied: "Amen" then went on and questioned them:

"Abrenúntias creatúræ sine nómine et ómnibus peccátis tuis?"

(Do you renounce the crature without a name and all your sins?)

I renounce the creature without a name and all of my sins!

He turned only to Loki and said:

"Horrésce hæreticam perfídiam, réspue nefárias sectas?"
(Do you shudder heretics misbelievs and relinquish villains sects?)

Loki rubs his arm for a second, then answers. "Horrésco, et réspuo"
