Fulfilling her duty to renew the oath, Lyssah kneels before the Holy Father and renews her oath:

I, Lyssah Ferreira de Queirós Silva e Sagres, Baroness of San Giorgio di Pesaro, swear by the Holy Scriptures to serve faithfully with Faith, loyalty and obedience to Sixtus, Sovereign Pontiff of the Holy Mother Aristotelian, Roman and Universal Church, and to his legitimate successors. I promise to give loyal advice, and whatever help I am able to give, sacrificing my own comfort or interests for the greater glory of the Church of God on Earth. May the Almighty help and inspire me in this task.

Je promets d'apporter fidélité, conseil, ainsi que toute l'aide que je serais en mesure de donner, sacrifiant mon propre intérêt ou confort au profit de la gloire de l’Église de Dieu sur Terre.

The Pope waited for the missing people to come forward, and after a reasonable time had passed, he responded: "We accept the oaths that you have renewed on this day. On our part, we confirm our promise and commitment to provide protection, justice and subsistence to those of you belonging to the equestrian order and protection and justice to those of you belonging to the senatorial order."
Then, with his index and middle fingers raised, he made a cross in the air. As it was the end of the oaths of his nobility, the lackeys of the Apostolic Palace approached to prepare the next part of the ceremony.

Puis, avec son index et son majeur levés, il fit une croix en l'air. Comme c'était la fin des serments de sa noblesse, les laquais du Palais Apostolique s'approchèrent pour préparer la suite de la cérémonie.
