In all guides that I read (Dainsleif's guide and Lubin's guide) one could reach 20% of Virtues without any prerequisites, nor need of reading a Book.

I've read that too, but aside from Pleasure&Delight not tried it.
Getting 50% skill for two days of reading a book seems much more efficient.

I didn't know it, I thought it was a condition to pass the 50%. Now I reread it and I grasped the meaning of it.

the idea without opposite has changed.

It is now,
Citation:
the Divine Being is almighty

Sadly, without capitalizing the "T"

Good news!

I read De Providentia in Oxford with 33% of Latin. My language skills improved to 35% and now I am sure that the Holy Being is Almighty. Very Happy

EDIT: Another thing. I noticed that in the Languages chapter Parmenidas is said to require Modern Languages to be read, while in the Availability of Books it is said it needs Greek to be read.

Wow,i checked my transandental menu today:
Citation:
You lack faith

Shocked

However i don't see any opposite ideas in mine:

Citation:
Your ideas:
You're sure that the Divine Being is almighty.

You're sure that metaphysics is the study of first principles.

You're sure that sensible beauty is an image of Eternal Beauty that any Soul has already contemplated once.

You know that the wise man seeks to find happiness through meditation.

It doesn't seem insane to you to pretend that things are copies of Ideas

What's happening to me? Neutral

There doesnt appear to be none. Ideas lower than 30% are not indicated however. Perhaps someone preached to you? If your Ideas change in ~3 days then it is so.
Citation:

You know that the wise man seeks to find happiness through meditation.

Thats quite high percentage for an Idea we dont have a book in England. Was that this high before?

Citation:
Faith < - 50 : You don't believe. (not activated)
- 49 < Faith < 0 : You doubt your faith.
+ 1 < Faith < + 29 : You are almost a believer.
+ 30 < Faith < +39 : You are a believer.
+40 < Faith < +49 : You are a good believer.
Faith = 50 : You are a true believer

i got "you lack faith" after studying opposite ideas; after attending twice the mass i got back to "you doubt in your faith".

in V3 i got "You are almost a believer." after going to mass today.

So in V3 my assumption would be:
Citation:

Faith < - 50 : You don't believe. (not activated)
- 49 < Faith < -? : You lack faith.
- ? < Faith < + 1 : You doubt in your faith.
+ 1 < Faith < + 29 : You are almost a believer.
+ 30 < Faith < +39 : You are a believer.
+40 < Faith < +49 : You are a good believer.
Faith = 50 : You are a true believer

Yes! My first mass and I’ve almost persuaded the Archbishop to be a believer!

“We’re going to sing one more verse of Just as I am. If you need to make a decision come down front and meet me here. If there are people waiting for you, don’t worry, they will wait. If you are way in the back, don’t worry, we’ll wait. You come now as we sing.

Just as I am, without one plea …”

I was a true believer in my youth when i was a young student coming from Brittany Wink However to become a true english man i had to undergo a difficult process of faith reconstruction... Rolling Eyes
I will need to check but i believe that for someone to have 100% in Ontology and 100% in Theologie, you'd need to learn opposite ideas and loose faith.

edit: that's it, you've got to read Metaphysic A and Metaphysic Gamma, which give you opposite ideas. Of course no english student ever faced the problem as Metaphysic Gamma is not available in ESI.

yes and it is a source of continuing frustration.

I've been stuck at 70% ontology for nearly a year now, maybe longer. syounger may know as I kept him informed of my misdemeanours and accomplishments, before I became a bishop..

although if it does provide conflict at least I have the solace of banging my head against a stone wall and calling it masonry!

Today the canon responsible of the doctrine in York archdiocese earned +981 PVD, as i got 1090PVD. So it seems right: 90% for the canon.

2 days before:

responsible of the doctrine: -108/ Archbishop: -120 => (90%)
responsible of the doctrine: -45 / Archbishop: -50 => (90%)

Citation:
* Theology: Science of the First Matters:
1. Study alone or enroll in classes until you achieve 20%
2. Master "Aristotle's Moral Principles" at 100%
3. Master "Logic" and "The Beginning of the World" at 100%
4. Study alone or enroll in classes until you achieve 70%
5. Read "Metaphysics A" and then enroll in classes or study alone until you achieve 100%

NOTE: The various thresholds for this skill require confirmation. It may be possible to advance beyond with the listed thresholds while meeting only some of the requirements.

Indeed i've seen a student with only 86% in "The Beginning of the World" and reaching 60% in Theology, so it's not a requisite to achieve >20% in Theology (maybe necessary to go >60%?).

Go it (in french in Mr Groar's guide discussion)

5. Etudier seul ou en suivant des cours jusqu'à 70%
6. Lire "Métaphysique A" pour pouvoir étudier seul ou en suivant des cours jusqu'à 100%
