Fenice, giovane Nunzio Apostolico del Ducato di Modena e giovane parroco della sua città, Mirandola, era entrata timidamente nell'enorme Basilica e ritrovò la voce solo al momento di recitare il Credo di Sant'Olcovidius:

Dopo la recita del Credo ci fu un grande silenzio nella basilica.
Sua Eminenza era concentrato sulle giuste parole per commemorare San Olcovidius, cosi' iniziò:

"Cari fratelli e sorelle, la preghiera che proprio adesso abbiamo recitato, è la base vera e propria della nostra Chiesa. Mai tali parole furono cosi' potenti negli anni di Olcovidius, e mai queste parole furono cosi' potenti da poter impaurire un intero impero!

Olcovidius ci insegna questo: la paura deve essere abbattuta con la fede! La paura non c'è nell'uomo che predica la vera credenza! La paura è negli eterodossi e non nei credenti!

Olcovidius scrisse questa grandiosa preghiera nel 123, e possiamo immaginare a quei tempi come potesse far scandalo.
Egli per tali predicazioni venne arrestato, torturato assieme ai suoi compagni. I pagani gli chiesero di convertirsi al paganesimo per salvarsi, ma Egli, si mostrò un vero Santo e martire proprio di fronte a tale domanda recitando proprio questa preghiera a voce alta e in coro ai suoi seguaci!

L'umiliazione romana fu tremenda e non accettabile, ma nelle sacre scritture si legge che Olcovidius non venne ucciso dalle fauci dei leoni, ma venne portato su in cielo da nostro Dio un attimo prima di essere attaccato. Questo dimostra che anche i demoni non possono far nulla nella lotta contro Nostro Signore.

Olcovidius deve essere un esempio per tutti noi, ma soprattutto per i nostri figli e per i nostri compagni che devono trovare la forza di reagire dal male della Bestia Senza Nome!
Non lasciamo che il male prenda il sopravvento, non lasciamo che il male ci logori corpo, testa e mente!
Ribelliamoci al male e preghiamo la vera Fede!
Noi siamo qui sulla terra per evangelizzare questa terra tramite le parole dei nostri predecessori. Talvolta la paura dei nostri confratelli è tale che preferiscono il silenzio davanti all'eresia. Ma questo non è il nostro compito!
Seguiamo le gesta di San Olcovidius, Egli in quegli anni era con pochi fedeli eppure è riuscito ad evangelizzare con la sua morte e le sue gesta migliaia di fedeli!

Che Olcovidius sia un esempio sempre da seguire per tutti.
Il male possiamo sconfiggerlo solo tramite la fede e senza altre armi"
