Rehael had now gained the choir, and began the ceremony.

The Chapel was full: people from all walks of life were present.

My dear brothers and sisters of the Holy Armies, my dear brothers and sisters of the clergy, my dear crossed children, dear friends. It is not now honor the war, but to honor those who have abandoned all to take up arms on behalf of the Church of God, to conduct a fair fight against the heresy.

Few days ago, Venezia plunged into heresy in, led by the madness of a man. Today, Venezia knotweed with Aristotelianism, the spinozism is not, but thanks to you, to all those who have given everything for this to occur.

Always remember that for the triumph of evil requires only the inaction of good people. Today, it is the action of the good people who helped put an end to evil. It serves as an example for the future.

Far from political considerations, the Congregation of Holy Armies will say today its recognition and honor all those who have participated in this crusade to win the True Faith.

We will honor the Crusaders of Holy Army, namely the Episcopal Guard, the Teutonic Order, the Stola d'Oro Order, and some peoples.

Rehael paused a moment, then exclaimed in a loud voice:

I was called to join me this Filippo Benedetto Spadalfieri Borgia da Pontiregi , Prefect of vidami of the Episcopal Guard, as well as all participants in Episcopal guards crusaders

Lawrence entrò a cerimonia già iniziata.

Lawrence entered the chapel when the ceremony had already started. Silently he sat on the benches at the back.

Ercolino arrivò a cerimonia già iniziata.

Melian, dressed in her red uniform, had taken set back position, not far from Cardinal Constable in the case he would need her.

Discreet as usual, the Knight Senator followed with attention the ceremony of rewards for this Venetian crusade.

The prefect of vidami exit the small sacristy with ceremonial clothing and approached the caradinale Rehael. He put A View of the chapel crowded, recognizing some familiar faces which gave a slight smile. Then he turned to connestabile saying:

We are ready for the ceremony eminence! When you want...

It was the first time that Sybilla took part in a Ceremony so important.
She was very excited to enter the Cathedral and to meet the other Knights of the order she belonged to, the Order of the Stola D'Oro.
Sybilla took a seat next to them..waiting for the beginning of the Celebration...

*************************************************************

Grumio, as the other Episcopal Gards, was ready in the first line, close to their Prefect, the Cardinal Philip. So the Conestable could start the cerimony.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The medical officer of the Stola D'Oro entered the Basilica of St. Titus almost crowded in every place.
He walked to the first rows where his comrades and friends of life had already taken seat.
He sat next to them, prepared to attend the solemn ceremony that was beginning.

Gonfanon of the Holy Armies and of the Crusaders were hoisted, and rubbed one of the Episcopal Guard.

May this medal symbolizes the gratitude of the Holy Armies towards the Episcopal Guard. Bards and minstrels that sing much longer heroism!

With these words, Rehael approached Phillip then grabs the medal handed him a papal guard. He hung the medal and gave him a hug

A second Pontifical guard unrolled a parchment again, and said in a loud voice the list of episcopal guards decorated with the medal of the crusade.
They marched one by one before the Cardinal Constable, that to them solemnly clasping each medal before giving them a hug.

To be hugged by the Cardinal Constable was a great emotion, Grumio was unaware if the stronger emotion in that moment was the pride or the joy to feel part of the huge aristotelian family.

The prefect of vidami already knew which was that it was the award as a reward to the Crusaders. He had done it to make a goldsmith of trust. But to receive the hugh of his peers, a cardinal elector who admired like no other, it was an unexpected thing that made him fragile and happy.
Returned the hug pronouncing these words:

On behalf of the Bishops' guard which I have the honor to command, in the name of the holy armed with my men I serve in the name of God who always praise, I am infinitely honored to receive this medal from you and I will always be your own great friend and brother in the faith.

He gave the military salute and smiled.
Then he looked at the Teutonic and the members of the "stole gold", knowing that it would come, in short, their time.

Paftunij, Chancellor of the Order of the Stola d'Oro, sitting in one of the central benches, was curiously observing the ceremony proud to have been invited.
With many others of those present, she had been happily surprised by the embrace between the two cardinals and she knew that it was an important symbol of mutual respect and satisfaction for the important event that happened in Venice.
