Note : this will be populated over a number of days, give me time please!

The Aristotelian Missals

The missals are a series of short prayers for most occasions. If you want a prayer then please look here, or ask one of the bishops or cardinals to assist you in drafting.

Professor Sloth is to be congratulated for his hard (but slothful) work in getting this transcribed.

Click on the topic to jump to the missal.

Introduction

This collection of prayers and blessings is the initiative of the Congregation of the Holy Office in Rome. It is intended to be universal and to be continually growing for many years, if not forever, and everyone is free to contribute.

This book does not presume to contain all the Aristotelian prayers, although it's the base and its objective. Prayer is an act of spiritual devotion on the part of whoever recites it. Prayer can not therefore be reduced to simple mere text. Prayer is something sincere and deep, it is in which the Aristotelian expresses his emotions in front of the Most High. That said, it is to facilitate this exercise for the uneducated believer that we have compiled all known prayers of Aristotelianism. The anthology is first and foremost accessible, but also complete (as far as a book under constant evolution can be!).

Its authors are many and varied: some texts are of a single author, others of several authors. For the sake of clarity, we have chosen to place here the list of people who contributed to this missal alphabetically rather than signing each text. Any omissions of names is by error only, and is not intended as a slight.

Alessandro III Giarru — Angelo Montemayor — Anne Sauvage dit Anne_love — Bender.B.Rodriguez — Dragonenero — Jandebohem — Gantzo — Morva — Philipdikingsbridges — Vanwolk — Vincent Diftain — Vittorioveneto

Monseigneur Wilgeforte de Torretta-Granitola, prefect of the Holy Roman Office.

Blessing at a baptism

Almighty God, You have seen today x enter into the great family of the Church, keep him/her and guide him/her towards the path of Christos.
AMEN

May Your power and Your light guide him/her through the path in our world, and for him/her to be immaculate at the time of the holy judgment.
AMEN

Gathered before us on this glorious day of rebirth for an Aristotelian, that reminds us of our own baptism and which protects us from evil.
AMEN

God the Father, Christos and Aristotle, bless X.
AMEN

note: substitute the name of the person being baptised where "x" appears, and take out the "him/her" that is irrelevant.

Blessing for travelers (1)

I bless you, travelers, so that no harm may befall on you and so that the Highest, within whose power is everything, may grant you his protection.

May the Nameless Creature, who torments manhood, turn his gaze elsewhere.

May people who you encounter be generous and fair with you and share what they have, for a better voyage.

May Aristotle help you, Christos guide you, the Highest provide you with everything you need.

AMEN

Blessing the fields

May Our Lord God Almighty bring life to the seeds and fortune to your fields. May this water, a symbol of life and purity which it praises be spent to ensure the future of your family.
So that one day your son can say "thank you Father."
May the blessing of the Lord descend upon you, upon your fields, your family and stay with you forever.
AMEN

Blessing of an elected official

By the will of God, you were chosen by the people, who elected you. You have in your hands the power to govern our land: do it in the magnanimity, in true righteousness and in Aristotelian faith.

I bless you in front of our people before God and your conscience. That the Almighty guide you through the choices you make.

In the name of God, the two prophets and the Holy Aristotelian Church, we bless your mandate to make it prosperous, fertile like the earth at spring, just and sustained vision of the Most High.

We bless the council that will assist you in this term: that it will be illuminated by the divine light as Christos was lit during the days he spent in the desert.

Banish the unfairness of life, make right choices and follow the Aristotelian ethics, respect the faith in God like the way you did on your baptism.

AMEN

Grant, O Lord, that it may bear fruit, and that the fruit can bring joy and happiness, as they will be in proportion to the immense love that you conceive for us.
