It was more than a month after the death and the funeral of the once-being Empress of SRING Adala, which stood out in Her life in many different ways, in the Holy Church even before in the role of administrator of the temporal government of the Holy Roman Empire.

As the First Vice-Primate, His Eminence Borromeo Galli had celebrated the function before the burial of the heart of the sovereign at the Cathedral of Strasbourg, leaving the body of this then departed towards Konstanz and the last stages of the imperial solemn funeral were held.

Now, as the Primate of the SRING, he had been living difficult moments on many fronts, but finally he found the opportunity to celebrate the Mass in memory of the Empress which he had promised, this time at the Basilica of St. Titus in Rome, so it would be taken part by all the people united under the Holy Mother Church.

The doors were opened, the bells rang in the air, and already the first believers had approached the benches of the Basilica.

Era passato piu' di un mese dalla morte e dal funerale della fu Imperatrice del SRING Adala, che si era distinta nella propria vita su molti cammini differenti, all'interno della Santa Chiesa prima ancora che nelle vesti di amministratrice del governo temporale del Sacro Romano Impero.

Come Primo Vice-primate, Sua Eminenza Borromeo Galli aveva celebrato la funzione precedente la sepoltura del cuore della sovrana presso la Cattedrale di Strasburgo, lasciando che il corpo di questa partisse poi alla volta di Costanza mentre le ultime fasi del funerale Imperiale solenne venivano svolte.

Ora, quale Primate del SRING, viveva difficili momenti su vari fronti, ma finalmente aveva trovato l'occasione di celebrare la messa che aveva promesso in ricordo dell'Imperatrice, questa volta presso la Basilica di San Tito a Roma, affinche' fosse partecipata dalle genti tutte riunite sotto la Santa Madre Chiesa.

Le porte erano state aperte, le campane risuonavano nell'aria, e gia' i primi fedeli si erano appropinquati alle panche della Basilica.

There was still a lot of participation but little by little, some ministers had come to the sacristy, to take part in the celebration, while the seats gradually filled with the faithful, mostly subjects of SRING or visitors, drawn by recurrence.

It was just before the beginning of the function and His Eminence was almost ready, lacking only wear the miter on his head and hold the pastoral.

Non vi era ancora molta partecipazione, ma a poco a poco alcuni ministri si erano appropinquati presso la sagrestia, per prendere parte alla concelebrazione, mentre le panche via via si riempivano di fedeli, per lo più sudditi dello SRING o persone incuriosite dalla ricorrenza.

Mancava poco all'inizio della funzione e Sua Eminenza era quasi pronto, mancandogli soltanto di vestire la mitria sul capo e impugnare il pastorale.

Monsignora Fenice entered the Basilica and silently found a seat, waiting for the beginning of the mass.
A month had passed, but her sadness for the death of the Empress was still deep.

Monsignora Fenice entrò nella Basilica e trovò posto in silenzio, aspettando l'inizio della messa.
Era passato un mese, ma il suo dolore per la morte dell'Imperatrice era ancora profondo.

His Eminence was ready to start, so he made all the celebrant clergy arrange in a couple of lines, then he let lighten up the candles, let ignite the content of the censer and gestured to the choir and organist to begin the chant.

Son Eminence était prêt à démarrer, alors il a fait tout le clergé célébrant organiser en quelques lignes, puis il laissa alléger les bougies, laissez allumer le contenu de l'encensoir et fit un geste de la chorale et organiste de commencer le chant.

Sua Eminenza era pronto per iniziare, così fece sì che il clero concelebrante si disponesse lungo un paio di file, poi lasciò accendere le candele, bruciare il contenuto del turibolo e fece cenno al coro e all'organista affinche' iniziasse il canto.

Monsignor Ello entrò nella Basilica, non aveva mai conosciuto l'imperatrice ma decise di partecipare alla Messa ugualmente

Silently prayed the Lord because was watching their beloved deceased empress.
The pain for her absence could not finish, but to be there, and pray for her, it was like alleviate

Different time passed by the death of his daughter but the pain for the loss was never decreased.
The Cardinal crossed the Basilica helping himself with the baton and reached his place in silence thinking about the devotion that that woman had always put in her mission both as Cardinal that as Empress, he was certain what time her soul lived in the Solar Heaven, beside the Most High and of the Prophets, an eternity of light.



Era passato diverso tempo dalla morte di sua figlia, ma il dolore per la perdita non era diminuito mai.
Il Cardinale attraversò la Basilica aiutandosi con il bastone e raggiunse il suo posto in silenzio ripensando alla dedizione che quella donna aveva sempre messo nella sua missione sia come Cardinale che come Imperatrice, era certo che ora la sua anima vivesse nel Paradiso Solare, al fianco dell'Altissimo e dei Profeti, un'eternità di luce.

My Children, we are gathered here to commemorate the person of the late Empress Adala, whose thirtieth day after death we are celebrating (RP OFF: it isn't really only 30 days, forgive me) We want remember all Her faces: a dutiful daughter, a pastor of Aristotelian souls full of vigor and holy intentions, a capable ruler in the last phase of Her life.
A life devoted to witness Her Faith in the Most High and that is how we are gathered here to do our profession of faith

La musica si spandeva nelle navate della Basilica, mentre a passo deciso la processione seguiva il fumo denso dell'incenso e i lumi fluttuanti che precedevano l'arrivo all'altare.

Dinnanzi al solido basamento marmoreo, i chierici si fermarono per il bacio della pesante struttura, poi Sua Eminenza Borromeo Galli prese la parola e si rivolse all'assemblea

Figlioli, siamo qui riuniti per commemorare la persona della defunta Imperatrice Adala, di cui celebriamo il trigesimo dalla scomparsa (GDR OFF: non sono proprio 30 giorni, perdonatemelo). Di lei vogliamo rimembrare ogni cosa: figlia rispettosa, pastore delle anime aristoteliche piena di vigore e di sante intenzioni, capace governante nell'ultima fase della propria vita.
Una vita dedicata alla testimonianza della propria fede nell'Altissimo ed e' cosi' che anche noi qui riuniti ci troviamo ad effettuare la nostra professione di Fede

Il Cardinale romano arrivò in leggero ritardo, per fortuna il Primate aveva iniziato da pochissimo, cosi' si mise in una panca in fondo col suo saio domenicano e iniziò la recita del Credo. Non poteva mancare a una messa in memoria di una sua parente, amica e sorella nella fede.
