The Basilica of St. Titus had been carefully prepared for the occasion. Real fruit trees, one from each province of the Papal States, had been placed on both sides of the aisle, forming a guard of honor and symbolizing the union of Lands with their sovereign. In the center, the crossing, four bands of bronze fabric left from each of the pillars supporting the dome and came together in a wreath under the majestic dome of the basilica.

Here and there, on marble pedestals and large vases in antique bronze, sprays of white lilies and gladioli exhaled a sweet perfume of Mediterranean and filled the holy building a heavenly relaxing atmosphere.

At the entrance of the choir, the papal throne of gold and red velvet, placed on a platform in five steps and dominating all the power he inspired the curule chairs arranged in an arc around the Pontifical podium is found . They should welcome new nobles.

The Duke of Urbino looked with a keen eye the end of preparations and waiting with great anticipation that the doors of the hall Sainte-Anne open and reveals the white silhouette and golden period of Pope ...

It was a sunny, moderate warm day and their second day in Rome, after the long trip from Nuremberg, as they approached the St. Titus Basilica for the ceremony of oaths. During the breakfast they had been talking about the city and the ceremony excitedly and with every step Laurentz took the excitement only grew. He had never believed that one day he'll enter the Basilica to take the oath of allegiance to the pope. In fact he sill didn't believe what he was going to do. As they entered the Basilica he forgot the excitement and marvelled at the beauty surrounding them. There wasn't much time to admire the building, other attendees entered behind them, thus they looked where to sit down and took their seats.

"Rome, finally.", he thought as his carriage, accompanied by his personal guards, entered in that wonderful town.
For many times he passed through here, but this time, this city seemed more beautiful than ever. How couldn't, when such a great thing is going tp happen. Invited to lay his Oath to Pope,he was nervous and proud at same time.
He wear his best armor, and his most beautiful cloak, with his familly coat of arms.
His squire repeatedly polished armor recent days,so armor shine like the most beautiful gemstones.

Mesmerized by the beauty of the Basilica of San Tito,he walked into it with big smile on his face.
He bowed to the rest of the invitees, and then proudly, with head held high,he walked to his chair.
Now we just need to wait until the ceremony begins...

Slowly, the basilica was filled.
Tacuma, closed in prayer, waiting with joy the event.
Lord whispered accompanies it, with your hand, these men who have given their lives to Thy church.
He was glad that one of the nobles, was a citizen of his country, which he knew, and who had given so much to his people and to the church of Venice

NReis walked into the Basilica of Saint Titus, filled with a lot of people. It was a long trip since Portugal, but he had rested in the city. With his white cerimonial clothes, he looks at the decoration of the space, which was beautifully decorated, and greets Enriique, the Spanish Rector of Fray Tanys Seminar.

His Eminence Edoardo Borromeo Galli was particularly happy for the occurrence that the ceremony had been going to formalize: a faithful of his Archdiocese, as well as acquaintance and friend, had received the patent of nobility for his own Aristotelian merits and it would be prestigious for all the faithful people from Milan and all the lands under the gaze of the Almighty.

Entered the Basilica, where a short time before he had attended some sad events, he was so joyful indeed in taking his place among the seats reserved for the clergy, but he remained in silent prayer, invoking the protection of the Lord on all the conveneds and greeting with a nod his friends being there.

Ysabet entered silently the basicilia. It was a marvelous building and she smiled at the exited glances of the people around here, who were here for the first time. It was kind of sad that she was so used to the beauty, that she could not appreciate it like them, but that was how it was with beauty, you never could look at something like you did as you saw it the first time.
It was a wonderful day, such as the Highest did want to tell them he was in favor.
She saw Elenore and Laurentz in the benches and waved and smiled to them, bevore she went to the benches of the Cardinals and sat down.
