----

A new Camerlengo had just been elected in the person of Azayes Arnault. This day was going to be one of his enthronement.

Cardinal Constable and himself a former camerlengo, responsible for the safety of the city of Rome, was employed to ensure that the ceremony can take place smoothly. It was bound to see the arrival of many members of the Curia and bishops of the various episcopal assemblies, so it was appropriate to take extraordinary measures.

A security perimeter was erected around the Basilica Saint Titus, decorated for the occasion.

Sergeant Mikhaïlovich, Eminence!

The Constable, who gazed calmly bustle of the Roman city from the window of his office in the papal palace, turned the arrival the guard.

" Did you do deploy the Papal Guard according to my instructions? "

The guard nodded.

"Affirmative, Eminence. The guards are installed around the Basilica, and the new Camerlengo will be escorted by the riders. Everything is absolutely secure custody. Not even a cat can escape our vigilance. "

The Constable sketched a subtle smile, satisfied with the effectiveness of the guards which he was responsible.

Okay, you can open the doors.

---

Emerging from his meeting with the Constable, Sergeant Mikhaïlovich congratulated himself. He had probably scored points for his next promotion! It is further necessary that everything goes well.

Joining doors of the basilica on the run, he gave instructions to the two guards to open the heavy doors, while a deacon undertook to ring the bells of St. Titus.

Everything is ok !

Everything was ready, in fact, he was left with has to wait for the arrival of the main applicant and prelates. He would have to keep an eye everywhere!

Devant la Tombe de Saint-Titus
In front the S.Titus's Tomb

----------

If the interior of the basilica was resplendent with bright colors, warm offered by the venal luxury basilica dedicated to St. Titus, the outside was not less magnificent than its interior. On this day, the Basilica of St. Titus showed a very different angle than usual. After the rich opening leading to the Tomb of St. Titus, the cantharus the central portion of the majeure- basilica was emptied, it was home to many more seats, they were all built out. In front of this large church in the porch, supported on the outside by wonderful columns inspired by the architecture of ancient civilizations, a red cloth covering the monumental entrance where we hung a crucifix there was a simplicity by the low value of equipment used for its manufacture, it seemed these crucifix that was being used in the dreary decor abbeys. The same poor crucifix as not being monstrance fixed this purple canopy protecting an equally impressive pulpit like the rest of the elements surrounding it. Ground that throne of Titus, stretched a long continuous carpet uniformity in color with the most important accessories, this decorative element came straight from India, he stopped at the feet of an altar in white an altar of the same color underneath a dome in a much less imposing size would realize Bernini in the basilica.
On the altar, the army of servants deployed earlier this sacred table, three plies hemp, rich sets of liturgical furniture whose antependium. On the square, which gave Aristotle's Square, there were built many ebony benches that are often found in churches, on the left as well as right. All part of the benches to the right of the main altar was destined to welcome the co-celebrants that is to say the Cardinals, behind the purple one implied the archbishops and bishops then next right the rest of the clergy. The left would reserve space for the laity, including all nobles of the Papal States, but also other special guests. Place the basilica for its two colonnades opened its arms to the faithful who wish to attend the service.
Inside the basilica, the many co-celebrants were placed around the altar of the basilica, all wore rich liturgical vestments: a valuable miter, white silk embroidered with gold, lined with red silk, without further precious material; Roman yoke always associated with the miter. Only the celebrant, the new Camerlengo wore a different outfit the other cardinals, he was wearing on his head a valuable miter of white silk, lined with red silk and embellished with embroidery and precious stones; like his other brothers a Roman yoke, however this time accompanied by a silk scarf. The Grand Inquisitor Cardinal had chosen Scolopius to arrange the operation of the ceremony of his enthronement, Archbishop of Avignon every effort to ensure that this Camerlingo's enthronement is a success. When the output of Arnault out of the sacristy, a song in honor of the first sovereign pontiff of the Church, the famous «Tu es Titus.»

Jeanne would want it to him(her) only 6 months. She had said that to want it to him more would be unhealthy. Be jealous she? No.... Finally, a little. Very even. Azayes had once again made her understand that it was not capable of the good anythnig. The rider of the Marquess owed be there. Vice primacy also. The friend? No... The choice was made. She would go but not completely. No but...

She greeted the first persons present and took place, in seats for the Archbishops, behind the cardinals.

Entering the huge Basilica, His Eminence Edoardo Borromeo Galli felt in a happy mood, for the early election of the new Camerlengo: he had yet been trusting in the forces of His Brother the Cardinal Arnault and he was ready to continue to help the Roman Curia in His role of Plenipotentiary Prelate, like it had been during the months of the previous Camerlengo's mandate.
But now it was the time to officially introduce the new leader of the College to the assembly of faithful and he ran to the sacristy to prepare himself for the ceremony among the other high prelates.

Cardinal Fenice entered the huge Basilica and walked slowly down the aisle, greeting with a nod and a smile everyone she knew.
She was happy, but also humbly excited, for the responsibilities that would be entrusted her by the new Camerlengo.
She went to the place assigned and immersed herself in prayer.

Catriona entered the basilica. It was the first time she had been to a ceremony there and she was curious to see the spectacle. She sat down near the back, where those who were lower in the hierarchy of the clergy were gathered.

After marvelling at the interior of the basilica, she began to pray for the new Camerlengo.

Franciscus soon as he heard of the enthronement ceremony of the Camerlengo, set out from Capua to Rome. During the trip had also been informed of the new responsibilities assigned to S.Em. Cardinal Fenice and he rejoiced knowing the great work that she had always done for the Church.
He arrived to the basilica and saw the exterior outfitting that had been prepared. So he went and looked for a place to better understand what he should do. Found a small space because the basilica was filling with clerics of all levels, settled a moment and waited.
He saw some eminences who knew and greeted with a smile and a bow of the head, he sat gathering in prayer for the Cardinal Camerlengo and S.Em Mother Fenice and each cardinal ...

The Primate of the Venetian went to the Basilica for the enthronement of the new Camerlengo. He was happy to be able to pay tribute to the new highest office of the Church, praying to the Almighty to help him.

Lord Alexandre arrived for the ceremony. He could not missed it for nothing in the world. A new Camerlingo, we did not see it every day. The man who was going to become Camerlingo was dear to its heart. He was going to pray beside his peers, in the magnificent Basilica Holy Titus.

invited or not they had opened the door , so it is largely held that the Bishop took place to attend the ceremony .

the way he greeted people he recognized quietly and waited after
