The Monsignor was really happy.
Today, the Church has recognized all his work since he was a young deacon until today.

He heard the call that made the Camerlengo, and is preparing to receive the simbols of cardinals.

Comes to the Camerlengo, kneels and says:

Here I am, ready to serve our holy church in this new mission.

The beadle guided the blind cardinal to the future cardinals who were kneeling.

We, Arnault of Azayes, camerlengo of the Holy Church, under the powers conferred by His Holiness Innocent VIII, at the request of the cardinals gathered in the Sacred College, create Enrique Legrat Villanueva Rodrígues national elector cardinal in the Hispanic pontifical consistory, Nicolás Borja, aka Nicolino, national suffragan cardinal in the Hispanic pontifical consistory, Stefano Maria Ludovico de' Giustiniani Borgia, aka Stex86, national suffragan cardinal in the Italian pontifical consistory. »

His hands helped by his faithful assistant, Arnault placed the bar on the three priests' inclined head.

The ceremony had ended.
Enrique was, from now on, Cardinal. Feeling of great joy filled him, but he also recognized the importance of his new position and severity with which he must act, not forgetting humility, meekness and work that distinguished him.
He thanked the Camerlengo, crossed himself before the altar and then searched through many faces some who were known...

The Queen smiled. Although she hardly ever had left her homeland, it wasn't certainly the first time she set foot on Rome, but always felt as thrilled as if she had never been there at all. Being extremely pious and zealous of her faith, she considered the Holy See the closest place to Heaven on Earth and, who couldn’t be beguiled with that thought in mind? Besides that mystic view, the Eternal City was such a delightful place, full of temples, palaces, and valuable archaeological sites, the last remains of the glorious days in which the imperial eagle ruled over the world. But after its downfall, the City had reached even more prestige and power, being the center of the only true faith. Earthly crowns were made of simple gold and pearls, but heavenly crowns were made of glory and holiness.

She had traveled to Rome to witness that sacred ceremony which would create two new Cardinals. She was used to long rituals and would not be so excited if the future Eminences were other people, but they were not. Nicolás and Enrique. Even if sometimes they did not share her point of view, or even if she joked with the possibility of an upcoming execution, the little Queen did actually loved them. That was why she chose them, along with His Eminence Yut, who was also there, to perform her own coronation, perhaps the most renowned event on a Monarch’s life. And then, after the ceremony, the three of them would be Cardinals, was she worthy of such honour? Probably not, but they were for sure.

-The three of them are a source of pride for me. –she whispered to her handmaiden, behind her, holding the train of her dress- …and I know The Almighty will be proud of having these new Cardinals at His service.
