"Politics has the purpose not of knowledge but of action," once wrote Aristotle. For several weeks, the blind cardinal thought much to this quote from the first prophet who thought so much the nature of power. More than one year had elapsed since the very fast Roman career of Arnault reaches the summit of summits. The brilliance of the camerlengo's golden tassels had finally bored the blind itself. If Aristotle was right, if the authority was well designed for action, then asking another term would have been meaningless. Voluntarily, the cardinal who was only thirty-four years had taken the gold of his arms with great relief. However, he renounced to what the first prophet considered inferior to action: knowledge. Saying goodbye to the exciting business management was not an easy step to take. But he was there.

There, it was in the St. Titus Basilica. A place that Azayes knew well. He would induct his successor Tiberius, whom some in Rome knew was his cousin, even though he had rather the age of his uncle and though the relationship between the two parents had long been tumultuous. The younger doomed yet a huge admiration for his older whose longevity was exceptional in every way, and he sincerely hoped that his condition did not prevent him celebrate a beautiful enthronement. That was all the meaning of the prayers that, in a whisper, rose to the Creator from the lips of the blind, kneeling in the desert but already richly decorated Basilica. Dozens minutes of prayer were necessary for the Azayes had the strength to get up and give the order: time had come. The bells of the basilica rang to announce to the City and to the world that the new camerlengo would be inducted.

Et le premier à arriver fut... Alboin.

And the first to one in was... Alboin. The irony was divine, but the prelate wasn't in any disposition to rejoice over it. His thoughts were all to God in this glorious day, that would witness a proven orthodox assume the succession of Arnault d'Azayes. There were indisputable qualities to be recognized, mostly in the effective reformation of Roman administration and Canon Law. But the thomist prelate had more fundamental objects of discord with his godfather.

There was, however, no resentment in his heart, and it was with all the appropriate respect that he designated, from afar, the former Camerlengo to the young abbot of Ripoll, who accompanied.

Look here, dear, this is the former camerlengo who is to perform the intronisation ceremony for his successor.

The young cleric came in by the General vicar of Lyon's side and was walking silently, with hands joined and head bowed. Lost between a mix of prayers and thoughts, he finally agreed to join the former rector of the Thomist Congregation. He gradually discovered the large and well-known Basilica. As he was not a man of mondanites and because he did not even like to visit various places with admiration, lacking taste, he was insensitive to the splendor of the place. The young abbot had very little artistic dimension, preferring the simplicity despite the royal character of his family and his education.

Raising his head towards the Valyria he nodded slowly while watching the former camerlengo. He knew he was close to his godfather, Cardinal von Frayner, but he never had the opportunity until now to see his eminence closely. Memorizing the face, the fox went on his way next to the one he secretly nicknamed "dipsomaniac" because of to his drinking problem.

Franciscus had learned the appointment as Camerlengo of his brother Father Rehael, Guardian of the Franciscan Order.
He was happy to attend the ceremony and entered the great basilica in silence and with great concern. But he chose to settle in a corner in the nave of the Sacristy: hoping to address an hello to the Camerlengo during the entrance procession.

He gather for a moment of prayer, thinking of the great responsibility to those who elected cardinals, must guarantee to the Church the right path in light of the teachings of the prophets.
He prayed fervently enjoying the silence in the basilica.

No question I wouldn't miss that ceremony! Indeed that's the first time a Camerlengo would be inducted for me. So I am really curious and take a seat where I am allowed to sit as Suffragane Cardinal. I look around and nod respectfully to the brothers, that have yet arrived with me.

The newest roman elector was not going to miss the rare ceremony that was enthronement of the Camerlengo. This kind of ceremony was not the customary one that could be seen every other month.

Once inside, he saluted some of the people already present, notably Alboin whom he knew from his prefecture, and his good old student-friend, Rodrigo. He also recognized brother Franciscus.

The ceremony promised to be a great one.

William had heard about the intronisation of someone he had heard spoken about by his cousin Blazingfast. He had no idea what all this meant, so he decided to enter to take a peak inside.

As he entered he recognised his friend Franciscus. Lost in this place, he chose a place in the back.

The subject was not of slender importance... A Camerlingo, a high prelate of Aristotelian Saint Eglise had the listening and the fear of all... He could appreciate(estimate) you for your biggest happiness or then pretend that you exist only by the will of the very High...

But there was not the reason of the presence of Neohorn(Neocorn). In fact he wanted more than to see everything who would be there and who would ignore this major event. Dressed in his(its) frieze in the collar(pass) finely chiselled by golden son(sons, thread) him(it) entered and greeted each.

By the Grace of Aristote, hello my friends!

He knew Lord d' Azayes just like claiming him(it) to his(its) succession. Anyway both prelates were men(people) of undeniable quality, according to him..

The abbess came too to the enthronement of the camerlingo, because she considered that it was one of its duties of cardinal, all the more since she had become roman cardinal. Besides, she had a big admiration so much for the outgoing camerlingo, without whom she wouldn't be where she was now if she hadn't followed his advices ; that for his successor, whose righteousness and the clear ideas she appreciated.

When the bells of Saint-Titus moved off, the nun exchanged her ordinary sound black and white Cistercian suit for a deep red dress, freshly delivered by one of the workshops where she had her habits, keeping only a dickey to hide her long hair. Eloin entered, greeted those who were already there of a respectful nod, then went to take a place.

Elequest tried to be on time for the enthronement of the Camerlengo to have a good place. He had already experienced several large mass but never in Rome itself. Oddly enough because he came here for years. The Basilica of St. Titus was a beautiful church. Elequest was impressed.

He greeted some familiar and looked for a seat

------------

A high day stood out. The enthronement of the new Carmelingue is going to take place. So, his uncle had left charged having occupied him during more than 1 year. Alexander really did not know what had encouraged him not to follow its way of faith in the highest function of the Church. Perhaps the cardinal wanted to stand back. What he was, there blind person had invited him to come to back him up during the ceremony and it was with a real enthusiasm that the young person Azayes had answered gift. Bells had sounded from now on some minutes and it was the hour. There for some hours in the basilica, it was time for Carmelingue to get ready. Only, the Cardinal was very little autonomous given its disability, Alexander has therefore to take the initiative. Of benefit that every person becomes established in the basilica, he came to join the Cardinal. By its sides, he comes to whisper some words by crossing hands.

« - My uncle, are you ready to dress yourself for the ceremony ?»

Cardinal Fenice entered the Basilica that was crowding.
She saw and recognized several prelates she knew very well and she greeted them while she was reaching her seat.
Waiting for the beginning of the ceremony, she thought the different camerlengos she had knew and worked with... for a moment she wondered if she was getting old.

His Eminence Edoardo was tired because of the long backlog which he had been doing since the new Office had been opened and also the Brotherhood of the Exorcists had been given in management to him.

Having entered the Basilica some minutes before, He reached the apsis and sat among his brothers and sisters, greeting all people, and taking a breath for a while. Then he suddenly realized that it had yet been half a year that he was no more at the guide of an archdiocese, but he was really happy for those changes and the opportunity he had to help the whole Church and the past Camerlengo on managing new distant communities, so he was there to confirm his will to be at work with the new main guide of the Cardinals' College.

Let's wish all God's blessing to us through all those whom we gave the last respects... he thought.
