Basilica of St. Titus
On February 3, 1465
The day of the ceremony

The sad sound of the♪♫• bells ♪♫• announced the beginning of the funeral of His Eminence Raniero Borgia
The basilica was filled with red roses and the candles gave off a golden light.
Their flames lighted every corner

The big doors were wide open to welcome the Cardinals and every part of the Aristotelian clergy, family, friends,
all those who had known and learned to love and respect the cardinal Raniero

Tacuma entered the church and looked around.
Everything had been carefully prepared
The smell of burning candles on the altar, mixed with that of the flowers, filled his lungs.
He walked slowly.
Then ,fatigued and tired, he walked to the vestry to wear the sacred vestments.
He reached to the high altar and turned to the huge front door.
Gaze lost to the horizon.
The wait was beginning

Aislinn was waiting outside the Basilique when she heard the bells rung.
Dressed with a simple black dress, she entered in the church to greet her father for the last time

Cardinal Fenice entered the immense Basilica from a small side door, which led directly to the sacristy.
After praying briefly in silence in the chapel of the sacristy, she donned the vestments and with serious and sad face she added the insignia of camerlengo. She had hesitated and thought, coming to the conclusion that the charge required it.
She opened the door, crossed the chancel and reached Cardinal Tacuma, stopping at his side. The scent of roses softened the candle smoke.

Here I am, brother she murmured. Let's wait.

The Archdeacon of Rome had know Quarion quite late, when he made his comeback while Arnault was camerlengo. However, the long conversations he had with him about the Church, and the huge work achieved by this three-time-camerlengo, were very strong memories. When he heard the bells of Saint-Titus, he joined the church to attend the ceremony.

Overwhelmed by the feeling of loss does she enter the Basilica. Tears make a little river over her cheek before dropping on her red dress she especially wore for the occasion. It would have given her father a smile to see it on her. He always told her to be the best she can be in every situation, the dress had to do that for this difficult day.
Her place was at the front but she preferred to sit in the back, to be a watcher and not a participant, that was to much for her now all the important men of her life were gone.....

Cardinal Quarion was not only a member of his family. He had been his teacher, the one who first had believed in him and had given him the opportunity to grow.
After his sister Kali_ another column of his life had fallen.
He sat quietly and with deep sadness began to pray for the soul of his uncle.

Monsignora Pamelita had known S.E. Quarion In abbey, when, just over that girl had decided to devote himself to ecclesiastical studies.
For a long period then, he had lost sight of, but when he returned to Pisa had spent much time together ..a sentence, still rang in his ears. "You are the future of the church" She hoped that from where he was now send her the courage and strength needed to really be.
He looked for a place in a central counter where you sit gathering in prayer.

Sebastian had learned of the death of his father General.
It had seemed only right to share in his grief, so he went to the church where the funeral was held.
He sat down in one of the start of the ceremony benches and waited.

Aislinn saw her sister sitting in a corner and she reached her.
She took her sister's hand, smiling sadly. There was no need to tell anything
They were alone now, but they have each other.

it was a sad day. His uncle had died and still could not see that. Elsa came to the Basilica, hug her cousin Aislinn and, silently, took his place next to the family.

Arduino entered the basilica. The air was heavy and full of sadness. He had never personally known the Cardinal Raniero Borgia, but it was as if he had met, in the stories of an old acquaintance. He found a secluded place and began to pray.
