Internal Statute of the Roman Inquisition

Preamble

The Roman inquisition aims to ensure the success of the true faith by incessantly tracking all manifestations of heresy. Its primary objective is to ensure the reintegration of strays into the Aristotelian community.

The Roman inquisition is directed by the Grand Inquisitor, a cardinal designated to this purpose by his peers in the curiae. However, the Grand Inquisitor gives up his attributions to the Roman cardinals responsible for a geodogmatic zone in the territory to which they are charged.

The Status of Missus Inquisitionis

1.1 The status of missus inquisitionis is instituted, referring to an official of the inquisition having the responsibility to serve the congregation's missions, under the supreme authority of the Grand-Inquisitor.

1.2 Members of the Aristotelian clergy, having taken a specific seminar organized by the inquisitorial congregation and possessing certain oratory and legal qualities, can achieve the status of missus inquisitionis.

1.3 The missus inquisitionis are freely named and dismissed by the Grand Inquisitor.

1.4 The missus inquisitionis shall keep the secret within the framework of their functions.

1.5 The missus inquisitionis can join in the discharge of the missions, and subject to the Grand Inquisitor authorize them, with a lay Aristotelian of his choice.

1.6 The missus inquisitionis is authorized to display the ornaments of the inquisition.

Missions of the Inquisition

2.1 The Roman inquisition is careful, in any event, to get renunciation from all the stray ones that can be identified, independently of all other consideration. Its principle weapon is the word.

2.2 The Roman inquisition is charged with the administration of special justice, in the manner specifically defined by the body of rules in the Canon Law.

2.3 The Roman inquisition is responsible for ensuring the good administration of justice in the ordinary church. It has coordinating and supervising powers over the Episcopal officialities, and sees to jurisprudential unity within the spiritual jurisdiction. It tries to assist the episcopate in its negotiations with the temporal powers, aiming for the creation of episcopal officialities. It is charged with organizing the training of ecclesiastical prosecutors.

2.4 The Roman inquisition functions as the internal police of the Aristotelian Church. It is charged with investigating offenses committed by members of the clergy in the exercise of their ministries. It can submit the findings of its investigations to representatives of the ordinary justice with the intention of imposing disciplinary sanctions.

2.5 The Roman inquisition is charged with managing the information services of the Aristotelian Church. In this regard, it possesses general powers of investigation. It is authorized to inquire into any situation or individual of interest to it, taking care not to impede the administration of spiritual or temporal justice.
