The last year had been difficult or rather complicated, but if we think about it, during each season we find complications that help us to overcome ourselves, to strengthen ourselves, but above all to grow as people. A few weeks ago I had been elevated to the rank of cardinal bishop and had many new obligations to the justice of Holy Church. However, the feast of St. Titus was already at the gates and for the third year in a row I was in charge of organising the renewal of oaths of the pontifical nobles, as well as the ceremony of the new appointments.

The Basilica was richly decorated, you could tell that this year there had been more money for flowers, as they were everywhere to be seen. The papal banners were accompanied by the banners of the regions that made up the papal territories. I let out a sigh, as I waited for the people who were invited to be recognised for their defence of and loyalty to the Holy Church to come forward. This year I knew very few of the list that was provided by the bishops of each of the regions where Aristotelianism reaches.

In the vast lands of Gasconha, Didier de Warenghien's grace awakened at the call of an exceptional invitation. A messenger, bearing the seal of the Holy See, handed him a solemn missive inviting him to a ceremony in Rome. Intrigued and honored, Didier understood that this summons emanated from a higher authority and could not be ignored.

From that moment on, preparations for the journey began. His belongings were carefully gathered, and the most elegant and appropriate attire for this prestigious event was meticulously selected.

Finally, after long days of travel, the walls of Rome stood before him, imposing and majestic. The pontifical guards in armor welcomed him and escorted him to the heart of the city, under the curious gazes of the inhabitants of Rome. The paved streets resonated with their rhythmic footsteps, creating a symphony of metallic clanks and hushed whispers.

The ceremony took place in the Basilica of Saint Titus, adorned with papal banners on its walls. The colorful frescoes that adorned the walls seemed to come to life in the soft glow of the candles.

The enchanting scents of flowers filled the air as I solemnly entered the magnificent Basilica. The sweet and delicate fragrances mingled with the atmosphere steeped in spirituality, creating an intoxicating yet soothing ambiance.

Not knowing exactly where to present himself, Didier decided to wait just inside the door of the basilica, leaning against a marble pillar.
His eyes carefully scrutinized the individuals entering one by one into the sacred edifice.

Karsten had been surprised when he received a letter on his castle in Holland. It had been an invitation to participate in the festivities of the Feast of St. Titus the Apostle and First Pope, more specifically, the enoblement ceremony. It wasn't something he was expecting at all. He'd been busy recently with all arrangements he could make and was now staying in Rome a few days before his arrival. He got quite used to the long travel and he was luckely traveling in good company. A dear friend of him, Kalixtus, was staying in Holland while the letter was The calmness within the walls of the house he was allowed to stay in was comforting, and when the day came, he traveled with his host to the basilica. Karsten saw his servant open the door to the carriage so he was the one getting out first. When he stood up he straightened his robes and stepped out of carriage in front of the basilica, awaiting for Kalixtus to also exit the carriage.

William was doing his daily visit to the slums of Rome when he received a letter bearing the pontifical seal. It had been a while since his last one. He pondered on what he might have done wrong this time to receive another letter.

To his utter surprise, it was nothing of the sort he usually received. This time he was being invited to a ceremony and he was being honoured at it. He finished helping the poor he was with and headed to the Franciscan Hermitage to prepare himself for the ceremony.

He arrived at the Basilica dressed in his Franciscan habit and bearing the episcopal signs. The sacred place was highly decorated for the event. He advanced, knelt at the first pew in front of him and began to pray. He prayed for himself, for the Holy Father and for the British Isles.

Mother Almalibre had just received from a Messo sent on behalf of His Eminence Roderic a message in which she was invited to travel to Rome to participate in the festivities of the Feast of St. Titus the Apostle and First Pope, with an associated ennobling ceremony.

She was truly amazed as in her opinion, she had done nothing but love the Lord and teach all the faithful about love of God and one's neighbor.

It was a beautiful day and, having arrived in Rome, she was enraptured by its imperishable beauty and majesty.

She entered the Church intimidated by the presence of the Papal Guards, who courteously made her sit down, and only then did she realize the majesty and sacredness of the place; papal banners carpeted the walls, the magnificent, polychrome flowers scattered an intoxicating fragrance all around, while the flickering, lit candles offered to the eye a shy vision of mystical suavity.

Almalibre sat at the seat indicated to her by the Chief of the Papal Guards waiting for the ceremony to begin and softly began to pray.

Kalixtus had been in Holland for a while now, and he enjoyed every moment there. It was a very friendly and enlightened people who were aware of their strength and position. There was nothing more refreshing, especially coming from the pre-hell of Germany. A country that was self-destructing and on the brink of implosion.

But that interested the Cardinal only secondarily. Although he was the Grand Chancellor and current head of government of the kingdom, he only cared about administration.

The invitation from Rome to Karsten was, of course, no surprise to the Cardinal. On the contrary, he had been waiting for it because he had orchestrated this little surprise himself. Of course, the Cardinal had acted completely surprised when Kars had talked about it. The shared breakfasts had become a shared work routine because the first dispatches, news, and messengers demanding their attention arrived early in the morning.

Therefore, the Cardinal had to suppress his smile when he saw Kars' surprised face.

Now they were here, and the long journey from Amsterdam to Rome had been very efficiently used by the two men. As Kalixtus stepped out of the carriage, he adjusted his clothing and wiped his lips. He could taste the little snack he had enjoyed earlier in the carriage. Everyone knew that the Cardinal particularly liked the small delicacies that could be enjoyed on the go.

He joined Karsten, the Archbishop of Utrecht, and pointed to the miter he now had to wear while he wore the one of the Metropolitan of Salzburg on his head.

Afterwards, there is a dinner waiting for us at the Palazzo. I have arranged to decorate the park appropriately. Tonight, we want to see the stars while dining.

Almost in passing, his hand glided over his friend's as they walked into the basilica to participate in this ceremony.

The Cardinal's gaze to the Archbishop conveyed a deep thought that could be transmitted nonverbally, and Karsten would undoubtedly understand it.

The Cardinal's flowing robes swayed with every movement around his body, blending with his long snow-white hair tied in a braid adorned with golden ribbons and the scent of amber, sandalwood, and orange blossoms emanating from the sun-kissed skin of the man whose age simply could not be discerned.

He suppressed the desire to grasp Karsten's hand. They were in public, and different rules applied here. For now!

Oh yes off course, the miter. Karsten completely forgot that, he still did. It was good that Kalixtus pointed it out cause he would've walked in the basilica without it. The straigtened robes were only light, because the climat, especially now was far more warm than he was used to. The Hollandic climate was more fresh, although especially in his own lands he was surrounded by lots of water which made the wind be a little more.

The amazement he still had for the greatness of the city of Rome, was that ever going to pass? It was still a city with great architecture and with so much history. The steps he was about to set were probably ones which would make history for himself and something his desendants would probably talk about, if there would ever be any.

Well, they were ready to go and walk into the basilica. But before Kalixtus pointed out that a dinner was waiting on them, which he would probably enjoy. Food was different than the food he had at home but was still good, and if the weather stayed this way, it would be definetely possible to enjoy the stars.

The gaze he received was filled with thoughts and those were transferred to him, all be it non verbally. Off course he knew what it ment and he slowely followed the cardinal inside. There would probably be quite some people and he honestly had no idea what he was about to go and do. He'd meet His Holyness himself. Karsten wondered how he would be, what he was like. Although short, it would be a first time he would catch a glimps of him. Also he was thinking about yesterday's evening. No stars, slightly cloudy but the light through the clouds of a strong moon were just lighting the outside enough so he would go out and enjoy the facilities outside.

Once they walked inside, he'd have no clue where to stand, who to greet or what exactly to do. He was looking to Kalixtus to provide some directions here, so he'd be able to at least not make a fool of himself.

Kalixtus often forgot how new and overwhelming all of this must be. When one enters the Basilica in Rome for the first time, they are seized by a overwhelming grandeur and a sense of enormity. The imposing architecture, splendid decorations, and monumental size of the Basilica create an awe-inspiring atmosphere.

The gaze drifts upward to the high vaults that span the space, and one can hardly imagine how such a majestic structure could have been created by human hands. The columns and arches surrounding the interior convey a sense of strength and permanence.

The play of light and shadow filtering through the artistic windows and openings gives the Basilica a mystical aura. The golden embellishments, mosaics, and paintings on the walls tell stories of faith, art, and history. The details are so artfully and precisely crafted that one can hardly get enough of them.

The sound of one's own footsteps on the marble floor is muffled as they move through the vast spaces. One feels small and humble in the face of the immense size and artistic richness that surrounds them.

The deep silence and solemn character of the place intensify the powerful emotions that engulf one. One can feel the centuries of history and faith come alive within the walls of the Basilica. It is a place of worship, devotion, and wonder.

Upon entering the Basilica in Rome, one is overwhelmed by a mixture of awe, admiration, and spiritual connection. They feel connected to something greater and recognize the significance and power of human creation and faith. It is a moment that remains unforgettable and leaves a deep emotional resonance.

Not even Kalixtus, who can make cathedrals tremble, could fill this Basilica. Here, in the beating heart of Aristotelism, even the White Lion becomes a white kitten.

He smiled at Kars, who seemed to be absorbing this impression, and then it struck him. It would be the first time he would meet the Pope.

For Kalixtus, Sixtus was a friend, and they spent many nights in the gardens debating the future of the world and the Church. For others, he was the respectable Holy Father, the head of the Universal Church. For Kalixtus, Sixtus was always a human being, and he had the privilege of being able to encounter him exactly as such, without the vanity of formalities, free and honest and sincere, always direct. That was an essential prerequisite for their collaboration.

He stopped and waited for Kars. The smile widened, and they walked perhaps a bit slower than necessary along the central axis of the Basilica, allowing Kars to take in all the impressions. He greeted familiar faces along the way, like Alma and William. Near the altar, in the transition to the apse, he spotted Cardinal Roderic.

Kalixtus whispered to Karsten that he was one of the Chancellors of the Congregation of Holy Truth, who was here conducting the organization on direct orders from the Pope.

As always, he greeted his friend from the Iberian Peninsula.

The Grand Bâtard du Bugey had received a letter which, at first sight, left him in a state of astonishment. At first, he thought it was a simple ceremony to which he had been invited in his capacity as prelate. But on re-reading the letter, it turned out to be about him - in part. So the Leostilla came to Rome and, after staying at his family palace, went to the basilica to attend and take part in the ceremony. He greeted everyone present with dignity before taking his seat.

Cyphus, dressed in his white robe, enters the basilica with simplicity, wearing his stole, his Aristotelian necklace and his golden wedding ring as his only finery. He looks around, seeming to take his marks but finally decides to sit in the fourth row, near the central aisle.

It was truly new for Seppel to make his way to the basilica. Especially since he didn't really know whether he was invited there as a bishop or not. But attending mass here would certainly bring new impressions for the young cleric.

And so he sought out the place of worship on this important evening. Silently, he looked around for a moment, nodded to the few people he knew among his colleagues and then looked for a seat in the nave. On his way there, his cassock rustled softly as usual.

He knelt briefly beside the pew, said a silent prayer and then crossed himself before taking his seat in the pew.

[ENG]
It had been ages since he had last been to Rome. He wasn't that old, the man who bore the first names of his uncle and cousin, both Cardinals in their time of the Holy Aristotelian & Roman Church. Kreuz Eckris Rosenberg von Valendras. A difficult name to live up to, sometimes, often, in these times of wandering and lost souls.

His childhood memories of the City of His Holiness the Pope remained rather hazy, of the Palace of his late uncle Kreuz, the first of that name. Or of Pater San Giovani, of the still fairly regular correspondence with cousin Groar. Memories of a bygone era, in Menthon playing knight like his uncle, Knight of Isenduil and Grand Master of the Temple -Golden Star- before he lost his arm, or at war with the Shining Scourge, then close guard to the Constable of Rome. From his own father Arval and his uncle Teseo, known as Thenestohs, Order of the Lake of Love, also a Silver Star.

So many lives in the service of the Most High and Holy. So much time, tears and blood spilt. Now old enough to lead others, to understand, to run his own province and fiefdoms. Kreuz Eckris remained pensive. He had been so all the way from Lyon to the gates of the Basilica, but what did it all mean in the end? Securing his place in the Solar Paradise? To ensure the Grandeur of Rome and the precepts of Aristotle and Christos? And yet, how could the world, how could the temporal be so far away, so distant, so cut off from the spiritual foundations that make man human?

More than ever, he wondered as he entered the holy place, consecrated to the Grace and Glory of the Almighty and his first shepherd for the flock of the faithful gathered in the Church.

What was Faith and a sense of values? Of Honour? What was the value of oaths and the weight of history and tradition?

He had no doubts about his convictions and what the True Faith was, but he had doubts about his fellow men and about the Nameless One, who took a thousand and one forms to divert the powerful and the weak alike from the teachings of the One and Indivisible. The Aristotelian and Roman Church.

[FR]

She was astonished by the invitation she had just received. A seal she'd never seen up close.

She set off immediately, as it was a long way to get there. Unfamiliar with the area, she let herself be driven and had time to enjoy the view.

She arrived in front of the building and was very impressed, she looked around, people she didn't know except for there against the pillar.

Hello Dide, can I wait with you? I'm lost here.
