The prince joined him to the other voices for the recitation of the prayer, his gaze remaining ever vigilant on the crown jewels.

      « Credo in Deum,
      Altissimum Omnipotentem,
      Creatorem caeli et terrae,
      Inferos et paradisi,
      Ultima hora animae judicem nostrae

      Et in Aristotelem, prophetam,
      Nicomaqui Phaetique filium,
      Missum ut sapientiam et universi
      Divas leges errantibus hominibus erudiret

      Credo etiam in Christum,
      Natum ex Maria et Ioseph,
Vitam dedit ut nobis paradisi viam monstraret
Sic, postquam sub Pontio passus est
      Propter salutem
      Nostram martyr perivit
      Consecutus est Solem
Ubi Aristoteles ad Altissimi dexteram eum expectabat

      Credo in Divinam Actionem,
Sanctam Ecclesiam aristotelicianam, romanam, unam et indivisibilem
      Sanctorum communionem,
      Peccatorum remissionem,
      Vitam aeternam.

      Amen. »

With a nod of the head, the sacristans lead the Monarch to the cushion where he will kneel to take the oaths.

Undoubtedly, the most serious moment of the ceremony arrived. It was no longer a question of listening, being inspired, hearing and taking communion, but of swearing. To swear before the Divine himself and under the watchful eye of his shepherds who guided everyone on the path to Truth and Salvation, including the princes of this world.

With a quietude worthy of her rank, the sovereign's hands came to cross her chest before her legs bent and she knelt like any other woman before Heaven and the Holy Church. Her gaze, which had been lowered to the cushion in front of the chair, letting the long white veils caress the floor of the basilica, suddenly rose. This look was clear and luminous, it had that something inaccessible and intimate : that strange happiness that an eagle feels when, although dedicating her life to guarding her people, she also finds her protective wing.

The ceremony had reached the most crucial parts. First, the Queen would take her solemn oath to God.

It was not a matter of swearing to men, but to God Himself - the source of all Power and the Divine Right of Kings.

Adonnis smiled tenderly, happy at the peace and tranquility that the Queen's expression showed. Undoubtedly, these moments, for the Sagres, were able to demonstrate, even to the most incredulous, the nature and existence of God and his Power.

    Then the Cardinal continued:

Aliénor Faiza, the moment of the oath has come. Here, in this Basilica which is the epicenter of Aristotelianism, you must formalize your oath of commitment to God. It is He, the Most High, who has granted you the right to rule, and it is to Him that you must make your commitment.

Aliénor Faiza, do you promise and swear to respect and honor the Fundamental Laws of the Kingdom of Ireland?

Do you promise and swear to respect and govern the people of the Kingdom of Ireland according to the Laws and Customs?

Do you promise and swear that you will use your power to promote Law, Justice and Mercy in all your judgments?

Do you promise and swear that you will use all your power to honor, respect, fulfill and promote the respect and fulfillment of the Inalienable Dogma, Doctrine and the True Faith in the Kingdom of Ireland?

Do you promise and swear that you will defend Holy Mother Aristotelian, Universal and Roman Church and guarantee the inviolability of her Clergy, her Rights and Privileges, her Cathedrals and Places of Worship?

It was in front of the Cardinal, with her heart and mind exposed to the Holy Spirit, that Alienor was reminded of the duties that once fell to her father and mother, both Emperor and then Queen of the Emerald Isle, and which would now be hers. This virgin princess with an iron faith and an overflowing love who found her way to the throne after so many months spent seeking strength and courage among the island nuns. Her sense of duty had led her to offer herself entirely to a people whom she would carry at arm's length and for whom she would live each day in the hope of their eternal salvation. Then, with her haughty bearing and chin raised, she swore an oath to the Holy Church and to all the ears around her.

The fundamental laws, first of all. Those which were the fruit of a history that was too many centuries old and which now crystallised peace, unity and concord.

« I, Aliénor Faïza, Queen of Ireland, promise and swear to respect and honour the Fundamental Laws of Ireland. »

Governance, secondly. Because a just sovereign does not tyrannize a people but judges and decides according to legitimately enacted rules and solemnly enforces this work in the sole interest of society.

« I, Aliénor Faïza, Queen of Ireland, promise and swear to respect and govern the people of Ireland according to the Laws and Customs. »

Law, justice and mercy, for since ancient times people have thought of banishing savagery to establish the Just and the Good with morality and according to the Aristotelian goodness that kept men from hatred to lead them to friendship.

« I, Aliénor Faïza, Queen of Ireland, promise and swear to use my power to promote Law, Justice and Mercy in all my judgements. »

But because every kingdom and empire cannot rest on temporal power alone without promising its own downfall, temporal power as the second pillar of faithful crowns must find in the princes a loyal word and absolute devotion.

« I, Aliénor Faïza, Queen of Ireland, promise and swear to use all my power to honour, respect, fulfil and promote the respect and fulfilment of the Inalienable Dogma, Doctrine and the True Faith in Ireland. »

Finally, what is Caesar's will be returned to Caesar and what is God's will return to God himself. This quasi-sacred separation, assuring men that none of them will sin through envy by monopolising the powers that govern this world, must be protected. To this end, the servants of God would find in Ireland a land of peace where no prince would enslave them.

« I, Aliénor Faïza, Queen of Ireland, promise and swear to defend Holy Mother Aristotelian, Universal and Roman Church and guarantee the inviolability of her Clergy, her Rights and Privileges, her Cathedrals and Places of Worship. »

The young woman's delicate hands clenched and she bowed her face again.

« May God be my witness. »

After the oath, two members of the Guard placed a chair at the front of the Ship, where the Queen and Cardinal were.

Soon after, two sacristans helped the Queen Alienor to take a seat in the chair, this time remaining facing the congregation.

A third sexton approached carrying a golden vial containing holy oil. It was the most solemn moment of the whole ceremony: the occasion of the anointing.

Through contact with the oil, the Queen receives the blessing to rule, as a woman chosen by God for the government of her Kingdom. It was the brief contact with the quintessence that brought the Monarch closer to God, that marked her as the rightful Queen who will rule Ireland by Divine Right, and reminded the people themselves and the Monarch that she is in her position by God's will and must rule according to that will.

With a smile on his face, the Cardinal dipped his thumb in the oil and proceeded to draw a cross on the hands of the Monarch, while saying: Let your hands be anointed with the holy oil.

Then, the Sagres wet his finger once more and drew a cross, on the clothes, on the Monarch's chest, saying: May your chest be anointed with the holy oil.

And then once again Adonnis wet his finger and this time drew a cross on the Queen's forehead, saying: May Your head be anointed with the holy oil.

Then Adonnis places both hands on the shoulders of the Queen and says: As Kings, Saints and Prophets were anointed, so you, Aliénor Faïza, are anointed, blessed and consecrated as Queen of the Irish Peoples, which God our Lord has entrusted to you to lead and rule over them, in the name of God, Aristotle and Christos.

Adonnis stepped back. At this moment, deacons approached with cushions of red velvet and gold embroidery, bringing the jewels of the Kingdom.

Adonnis took a deep breath. The final part of the ceremony was coming. Then the Cardinal took a gold ring with a solitary Emerald and placed it on the finger of the Queen, while saying: With this ring, we grant you the duty to protect, defend and care for the Irish Peoples.

Then the Cardinal held up the globus cruciger and, placing it in the Queen's left hand, said: With this orb, symbol of the word of God, I grant you the duty to defend the Holy Mother Universal and Roman Aristotelian Church, as well as to give it the necessary assistance to spread the word of the Most High, of Aristotle and Christos.

Soon after, it was the turn of the Scepter. Adonnis raised the scepter and then placed it in the direct hand of the Queen, saying: With this scepter, the symbol of justice and its command, I give you the duty to uphold justice in the Kingdom of Ireland, to punish the wrong and reward the right, to give to each her due for her actions.

The silence in the Basilica was transcendental. It was possible to feel the anxiety and expectation in each participant.

Adonnis lifted the last jewel: the Royal Crown. Then, as he placed it on the King's head, he said: This is the Royal Crown of Ireland and with it, I grant you the authority to rule over the Kingdom of Ireland, under the watchful eye of the Most High and his prophets Aristotle and Christos, and with the duty to always watch over the inhabitants of the Kingdom, who place their trust in you.

Then, Adonnis concluded: Aliénor Faïza, in the name of God and with the power vested in us by Holy Mother Aristotelian, Universal and Roman Church, we crown you Queen of Ireland.

The Cardinal took a deep breath and continued:

Rise up Queen Aliénor Faïza and reign in the name of God.

The Queen then stood up, at which point Adonnis turned to the audience and said:

    Long live the Queen!

[It's Franz, not Elvyna]

Franz Athan of Lancastre had gone to Rome to be present at his sister's coronation. He was very proud of her. He had followed the members of his family and then sat down to watch the ceremony.
Still silent since his mother's death, he had prayed in his thoughts, closing his eyes and joining his hands.

At the end, he stood and raised a hand in the air to express his joy.
