Baptism Certificate of William MacDowall
I, His Excellency Cinead of Twynholm, Bishop of Whithorn, Chapelain of St. Michael's Church, Linlithgow Royal Chapel, Presbyter of Kirkcudbright, Archivist at the Office of the Roman registers in the capacity as Bishop of the Diocese of Whithorn, in front of Pur Lord and under the sight of Aristotle the Prophet,
joyfully announce the baptism of William MacDowall [williammacdowall] of Whithorn, the sacrament of baptism has been administered by my own hands within the Ninian Cathedral. The Sacrament was witnessed by Father Tofferer of Wigtown and brother Rondrian of Kirkcudbright.
Given in Whithorn, on April 18th, in the year of our Lord, 1471.
