¿Cuánto tiempo ha pasado?, la última vez que recorrió la Ciudad Santa fue en tiempos que sus hermanos de armas defendían con su Fe y sus Espadas la Verdadera Palabra y a la Verdadera Iglesia.
En su retiro espiritual en un viejo monasterio en una zona retirada del Condado de Bern, el viejo templario se enteró que un rey de Aragón sería coronado.
¿Kayn de Urrea?, recuerdo a ese hombre, más que hombre una Eminencia militar y recuerdo que en mis tiempos en Aragón estuve bajos sus órdenes en el campo de batalla poco tiempo después de mi llegada de tierras castellanas.
¡Coronado Rey de Aragón!, eso si fue una grata sorpresa.
Sin importar cómo, el viejo templario decidió tomar el primer barco con rumbo a Roma y presentar sus respetos al gran comandante, mejor dicho, ¡al rey!
Realizó la gran travesía de viajar en barco rumbo a Roma donde muchos recuerdos lo aguardaban.
El puerto de Ostia estaba ante sus ojos y sin poder contener pequeñas lágrimas de emoción, desembarcó para luego montar un corcel blanco con rumpo a la gran basílica donde entró en silencio con sus viejas vestiduras con la gran cruz pátea algo descolorida pero que llevará con orgullo hasta el fin de sus días.

Fascinado por el encanto de dicha ciudad, además, caminaba junto con la Comitiva Real Castellana, saludando y sonriendo a los curiosos que se habían acercado. También saludaba con una sonrisa a los castellanos presentes en el sequito. Era toda una sorpresa para el estar en una situación así, y estaba aprovechando para disfrutar la ocasión. Estaba tomando el gusto a ir vestido con el uniforme militar de gala.

Cruzó la mirada con la Canciller Real, y disimulando se acercó hasta ella. No se le veía muy cómoda al caminar y el rubio prefirió estar cerca de ella por si necesitaba ayuda. Saludó a la Canciller con su característica sonrisa, y le inclinó la cabeza, como gesto de sumisión a su cargo.

Rezaba en silencio, cuando notó que alguien se acercó a ella. De inmediato, reconoció al Vice Gran Embajador de Francia, al que saludó con una sonrisa. Como Embajadora de Aragón ante la Corona de Francia, sus viajes a París eran constantes, por lo que habían desarrollado muy buena relación.

El de Villafranca caminaba junto a la Canciller, cuando sintió un codazo en brazo izquierdo. Era la joven dama que le decía bajito: — Señor Condestable, ¿le gusta tanto protocolo? Lo veo muy tranquilo; a mí esto me pone nerviosa.

La verdad es que para Almanzor el ver y sentir estos eventos desde el otro lado de la barrera, sin tener que encargarse de la seguridad, era todo un alivio.
-La procesión va por dentro, señoría, demasiada pomposidad y elegancia para mis gustos.

Dijo el de Villafranca mientras le sonreía para que la joven se sintiera mas relajada, o al menos pudiera intentarlo.

Welser llegaba "casi" tarde pues la distancia desde Valencia eran considerablemente grande y con las altas temperaturas veraniegas se había aún más dura a lomos de su fiel mula.

Cuando el repique de campanas llamaba a celebración ya estaba a un paso de la entrada. Era un momento único y tenía el honor de poder participar de él.

Era un honor el que le incluyesen en esa comitiva ya que a quien iba a recibir era a S.M. Kayn I de Urrea, Rey de Aragón, su proopio Rey.

Al llegar a la comitiva, besó el anillo en la mano del Cardenal y le dijo estas palabras...

Le Comte du Béarn est en effet de retour à Rome, même si les dernières fois où il s’y était rendu demeurait une bien triste occasion.
Mais aujourd'hui, c'est différent, c'est un jour de joie et de fête.

Accompagné par Son Excellence Mélian de Ventoux, une femme possédant moultes qualités comme elle l’a prouvée depuis plus longtemps qu’eux tous, ainsi que de son assistante, Spencer, dont les talents, en particulier de linguiste et de diplomatie, lui sont précieux, il avaient fait belle route, profité des paysages et avaient juste le temps de se rafraîchir et de ses changer afin d'arriver à la basilique à l'heure et apprêtés.

Son Excellence Mélian de Ventoux, fort bien mise, dégage beaucoup de grâce et de dignité, d’une joliesse et d’une beauté angélique, alors qu’aidée par un page, elle descend le marche pied.

Puis Sa Grandeur qui a revêtu vesture d’apparat du Béarn, rappelant qu’il n’en déplaise, c’est bien lui qui est encore Comte. Mais il a fait attention à rappeler diplomatiquement le Royaume d’Aragon. Martial, l’homme de force et d’ambition, se montre d’une galanterie sans nom envers les deux femmes qui l’accompagnent. Il est même fort gêné de devoir laisser Spencer à deux pas d’eux, mais ainsi va le Protocole et se demande si elle-même, connaissant l’Etiquette par cœur en est gênée ? Perdra-t-elle un jour son sang-froid et son flegme naturel en public ? Où qu’elle passe, quand lui demeure non pas intimidé mais met parfois une seconde à réfléchir à la conduite à tenir, son assistante, elle, est immédiatement à l’aise.


Spencer quant à elle, a opté pour une robe d’apparat, son statut de damoiselle non mariée lui permet de porter du Blanc, ainsi que son baptême Aristotélicien, raison pour laquelle sa robe est brodée d’or pour rappeler que la journée est faite de faste ainsi que de beauté, de liesse qu’il faut savourer. D’un doigt discret, la jeune fille relève quelques millimètres de sa robe puis en vient à contempler en descendant sans regarder le marchepied, souriant à Son Excellence et Sa Grandeur : ainsi arrivés, annoncés par le Grand Chambellan, on voit la foule qui observe « ces gens » qu’eux-mêmes ne seront jamais… et Spencer leur sourit même si cela ne leur donne pas de pain. Remontant derrière Son Excellence et Sa Grandeur le long tapis rouge, on ovationne, pourquoi ? Pourquoi eux ? Tout simplement parce que le temps d’un Couronnement, ces personnes auront les restes à manger.

Le voyage, en bonne compagnie, s’était déroulé de la meilleure façon. L’occasion était on ne peut plus particulière par ailleurs. Le souverain Aragonais était un ami du Béarn de très longue date, et son élection ainsi que son couronnement revêtaient pour elle des couleurs tout à fait singulières, faites de souvenirs, de joie, de nostalgie et de souhait sincère du meilleur pour son règne et pour ce peuple ami.

Comme ils avaient fait un arrêt pour se rafraîchir et se changer, elle avait opté pour une de ses tenues préférées, élégante et sobre. Une fois que Sa Grandeur et la Damoiselle Spencer furent fort élégamment parés eut égard leurs rangs et positions, ils prirent la direction de la basilique. Arrivés, ils descendirent du véhicule, Melian se trouvant entourée d’attentions autant du Comte que de la jeune Damoiselle et de leurs servants, qu’elle rendit par des gestes doux et des sourires qui l’étaient tout autant. Ils s’en furent finalement dans le saint lieu, et une fois annoncés, ils entrèrent pour prendre place et assister à la cérémonie.

Finalmente se dirigieron al lugar sagrado y, una vez anunciados, entraron para tomar asiento y presenciar la ceremonia.

Todo estaba preparado el día habia llegado. La comitiva aragonesa tomaba rumbo a la plaza. Todos lucían sus mejores galas para esa gran ocasión. El de Urrea con un traje de seda, combinaba los colores propios de su tierra, rojo y amarillo, pero esta vez habia dejado a un lado su armadura y armas, estaba en un lugar sagrado.

La Basílica de San Tito se encontraba frente a ellos, y alli se detuvo, esperando las indicaciones.

El Canciller aragones esperaba junto a Francesco a la comitiva del monarca.
Cogió aire y se preparó para la ceremonia,
-Todo listo, comencemos- pensó para si mismo.

El Cardenal Sforza hizo una reverencia al Rey de Aragón a su llegada a la plaza y dijo:

"Su Majestad, bienvenida a Roma. Todo está listo para su coronación".

Dicho esto, hizo una señal a los clérigos y guardias para que se prepararan para la procesión hacia la entrada de la basílica de San Tito. La plaza estaba repleta de fieles y las guardias de honor alineadas en dos filas formaban un corredor central.

La guardia pontificia abrió la procesión, luego los dignatarios, los clérigos y finalmente la comitiva del rey de Aragón, el canciller, el escudero mayor y el rey de Argona acompañados por el cardenal Sforza.

Cuando comenzó la procesión, el coro comenzó a cantar el himno sagrado: Ecce mitto Angelum meum.

La solemne procesión recorrió toda la plaza hasta llegar al pórtico de la basílica frente a la gran puerta de bronce.

With that he signaled the clerics and guards to line up for the procession towards the entrance of the Basilica of San Tito. The square was crowded with the faithful and the guards of honor lined up in two lines forming a central corridor.

The papal guard opened the procession, then the dignitaries, the clerics and finally the entourage of the King of Aragon, the Chancellor, the equerry and the King of Argona accompanied by Cardinal Sforza.

When the procession began, the choir began to sing the sacred hymn: Ecce mitto Angelum meum.

The solemn procession crossed the entire square until it reached the portico of the basilica in front of the large bronze door.

Sentado en la silla gestatoria, oportunamente acomodada frente a la entrada de la imponente basílica de San Titus, el Pontífice esperaba la llegada del nuevo Rey de Aragón, que había llegado a Roma para ser coronado en la capital del Aristotelismo por su pastor.
Rodeado de cardenales, prelados y otros dignatarios, el anciano patriarca evocó la importancia de ese día, que marcaba no sólo la presentación de un monarca al Altísimo y a su Iglesia, sino también el estrechamiento de profundos y antiguos lazos entre el Reino de Aragón y la Santa Sede.
Mas aquí, en medio de estas reflexiones, su mirada divisó por fin el cortejo real que se dirigía a la basílica y, con un gesto imperceptible para muchos, dio órdenes de ultimar los preparativos de la ceremonia.
