"We're using this Czech clergy room to best organize the King's coronation. The rite is in English, but it's a good idea to translate it into your own language to avoid mistakes.
As you can see at the beginning, there's a diagram to divide who performs the various parts of the rite. Where "Primate" is written, these are the most important parts, and in the case of the Czech Church, they should be presided over by Bishop Hadrasmatra. The other parts can be divided among other members of the clergy. For example, I suggest that the reading be performed by Deacon Terezie, if available.
As for the rest, you are the ones to organize. Good luck."

1 Opening of Topic – Church Preparations
The topic describing the Church's preparations is opened.
Floral decorations, candelabras, banners with the coats of arms of the Kingdom, the smell of incense wafting through the nave.
The arrival of the clergy preparing for the ceremony. Everyone participates, even if they don't have a role. The Archbishops and Vice Primates are always at the Primate's side.
2 Beginning of Ceremony
Procession of the clergy towards the High Altar, the Magister Musicus begins the entrance chant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCSN3P4rJw8&ab_channel=GradualeProject).
The Primate, dressed in all his most solemn vestments, bows before the Altar and addresses the people with the initial greeting:
"In Nomine Altíssimi, et Aristótelis et Christi. Amen."
"Brothers and Sisters, today we are gathered here to bless and consecrate before the Most High His Majesty [name], by His will, Queen/King of the Kingdom [name]. We pray that He may grant him/her the strength to fulfill his/her duties with honesty and presence of mind."
3 Oath of the Sovereign
The Primate/Other celebrant signals the Queen/King to kneel before him, on a satin cushion placed there for the occasion, and says:
"Cum hodie per manus nostras, optime princeps, sacram unctionem et Regni insignia sis suscepturus, bene est ut te prius de onere, ad quod destinaris, moneamus.
Regiam hodie suscipis dignitatem, et regendi fideles populos commissos curam sumis. Primum, pietatem servabis, Dominum Deum tuum tota mente ac puro corde coles; Aristotelicam religionem ac fidem, quam ab incunabulis professus es, ad finem usque inviolatam retinebis, eamque contra omnes adversantes pro viribus defendes. Ecclesiasticam libertatem non conculcabis. Justitiam, sine qua nulla societas diu consistere potest, erga omnes inconcusse administrabis, bonis praemia, noxiis debitas poenas retribuendo. Viduas, pupillos, pauperes, ac debiles ab omni oppressione defendes. Et ita te geres, ut non ad tuam, sed totius populi utilitatem regnare praemiumque benefactorum tuorum, non in terris, sed in caelo exspectare videaris. Quod Ipse praestare dignetur, qui vivit et regnat Deus, in saecula saeculorum. Amen."
(Since today, excellent prince, you are about to receive from our hands the sacred anointing and the insignia of the Kingdom, it is right that we first warn you of the burden to which you are destined.
First of all, preserve piety, and venerate the Lord our God with all your heart; keep inviolate until your last day the faith and the Aristotelian religion, which you have professed from the cradle, and defend them from every adversity. Do not violate the freedom of the Church. Wisely administer justice, without which no society can exist, administering good rewards and just penances. Defend widows, orphans, and the weak from every oppression. And finally, remember that you reign not for your own benefit, but for the benefit of this Kingdom, and seek your benefactors not on earth, but in heaven. There where God lives and reigns, forever and ever. Amen.)
The Book of Virtues is opened, upon which the Queen/King must swear an oath.
The Sovereign replies:
Ego [name rp], Deo annuente Regina/Re [name of the Kingdom], profiteor et promitto coram Deo Altissimo, et Angelis Ejus, omnia a vobis supradicta observare, ac deinceps legem, justitiam et pacem Ecclesiæ Dei, populoque mihi subjecto pro posse et nosse, facere ac servare.
I, [name rp], with the help of God Queen/King of [name of the Kingdom] promise before the Most High God and His Angels, to observe what you have said and to bring, to the best of my ability, justice and peace for the Church of God and the people subject to me.[/b]
4 Choice of Confessor
"Your Majesty, it is your duty to choose a personal confessor: which member of the Kingdom's clergy has your choice fallen upon?"
The Sovereign pronounces the confessor's name.
5 Reading

And the whole city gathered around Christos. And he continued speaking, as calmly as possible.
"You see, this city of Jerusalem is suffocating from its very lack of humanity.
You have lost the values of sharing and friendship. But above all, you have lost the most important of all: brotherhood!
This city is suffocating from the absence of charity and love! Think of the soup kitchen; who among you has ever prepared a meal or given bread to the homeless?"

To guide you, I will be the father of this community, I will establish its principles, and my successors will do the same after me."
Christos then turned to Titus, who was standing nearby...
"Titus, my friend, come closer. Titus, you are strong and vigorous. You can help me lead this community forward; you will be my second in command. Now, Titus, you are a titan, and it is with the help of your strength that I will build a titanic Church!"
And he turned to the other apostles, who were sullen and gloomy:
"And you, look at yourselves! You are forgetting virtue and becoming jealous! To belong to my community faithful to God, it will be necessary to strive to be pure from all sins. Now, I see that none of you can claim such a level of virtue. So turn to God, my brothers, for He is merciful and offers you the opportunity to wash away your sins and follow the path I have marked out for you.
Therefore, do not be saddened, for you will be my successors; you will bring the good news to all nations by helping Titus establish my Church. So I call you to be guides for those who are faithful to God. Be an example to those who listen to you, for bad leadership will pave the way for those who follow it. I appoint you episkopoi (bishops). You will be responsible for the salvation of your sheep."
Finally, Christos felt the crowd had heard enough for the day, and dispersed it. |
6 I Believe

And in Aristotle, his prophet, son of Nicomachus and Phaetis,
Sent to teach the laws and divine wisdom of the universe to misguided men.

He sacrificed his life to show us the way to Heaven.
So, after suffering under Pontius, he died a martyr to save us.
He joined the sun where Aristotle waited at the right hand of the Most High.

8 Anointing of the Sovereign
The Primate takes the vial of holy oil from a Deacon and anoints the Queen/King three times: on the right arm, on the chest, and on the forehead, and says:
«Omnipotens Sempiterne Deus, tribue, quaesumus, manibus nostris opem Tuae benedictionis, et huic famula Tua [nome] quam hodie licet indigni, in Reginam sacra unctione delinimus, dignam delibutionis hujus efficaciam et virtutem concede: constitue, Domine, principatum super humerum ejus, ut sit fortis, justa, fidelis, provida, et indefessa regni hujus, et populi Tui gubernator, infidelium expugnatrix, justitiae cultrix, meritorum et demeritorum remuneratrix, Ecclesiae Tuae sanctae, et fidei aristotelicae defensor, ad decus, et laudem Tui Nominis gloriosi. Amen»
(Almighty and Eternal God, grant, we pray, into our hands the strength of Your blessing, and grant to this Your son Monty De Fuori, whom we anoint today with the royal unction, the virtue and efficacy of this worthy anointing: form, O Lord, power on his arm, that he may be strong, just, faithful, provident, and tireless towards this his kingdom, that he may be the governor of Your people, a fighter against the infidels, a cultivator of justice, a judge of merits and demerits, a defender of Your Holy Church and of the Aristotelian faith, to the honor and praise of Your glorious Name. Delivery of the sword:
«Accipe gladium de altari sumptum, tibi regaliter concessum, nostraeque bene + dictionis officio in defensionem sanctae Dei Ecclesiae divinitus ordinatum: ut in hoc per eumdem vim aequitatis exerceas, molem iniquitatis potenter destruas, et sanctam Dei Ecclesiam, ejusque fideles propugnes, ac protegas: viduas, et pupillos clementer adjuves ac defendas; desolata restaures, restaurata conserves: ulciscaris injusta, confirmes bene disposita; quatenus haec agendo, virtutum triumpho gloriosus, justitiaeque cultor egregius, cum Domino sine fine regnare merearis. Qui vivit et regnat per omnia saecula saeculorum. Amen.»
(Receive the sword taken from the altar, royally granted to you, and ordained by our blessing for the defense of the Holy Church of God: that by it you may exercise strength and equity, destroy the army of injustice, and protect the Holy Church of God and her faithful: help and defend widows and orphans, rebuild what has been destroyed, and preserve what has been restored: avenge injustices, confirm good intentions; that by doing so, glorious in the triumph of Virtues and an excellent cultivator of justice, you may deserve to reign without end with the Lord, Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Sitque tibi ductor: et in omnibus sequi merearis Eum, et imitando Ipsum, diligas justitiam, et odio habeas iniquitatem, quia propterea unxit te Deus, Deus tuus. Qui vivit et regnat Deus, per omnia saecula saeculorum. Amen»
(Receive the scepter of virtue and truth, which teaches you to draw the righteous from darkness, to frighten the wicked, to teach the way to the erring, to lend a hand to those who err, to scatter the proud, to reveal the humble; and may our Lord open the doors to you. May he be a guide to you: and may you deserve to follow him in all things, and by imitating him, love justice and hate iniquity, for the Lord your God, who lives and reigns forever and ever, has anointed you. Delivery of the crown to the Primate who places it on his head:

(Receive the crown of the kingdom, which is placed upon your head. In the name of the Most High, of Aristotle and of Christos. That just as we inwardly are shepherds and rulers of souls, so you outwardly may always appear a follower of God, a strenuous defender of His Church against adversity, and a useful ruler and a fruitful governor of the kingdom entrusted to you by Him; that you may be crowned, adorned with the gems of the Virtues, with the reward of everlasting happiness among the glorious athletes with our Lord, Who is God and lives and reigns forever and ever. 10 Proclamation
The Primate finally proclaims:
"[name of the Kingdom], by the authority of the Most High and by the will of the people of the Kingdom, we crown you King/Queen of the [name of the Kingdom]."
"VIVAT REX IN ÆTERNUM!"
He seats the Queen/King on the throne to receive the nobles' oaths. |
