If I remember well, I think the rules changed in the imperial heraldry, brother. Now, the imperial ministers have black mantels, and the former ministers can choose between red or gold. So I think if you want the red one, you still can. But it should be smaller (so the shape of the gold one) than the one you gave . Anyway, you can have red if you want.
