The Order of Saint Jerome, I would assume it is open to the married since they are primarily a group of Church scholars who translate the various texts.
The Order of Saint Loyats of Canterbury, don't know much about this one (OOC: heh).
The Order of Her Sacred Rose, it will be open tot he married, but as of yet is still in the process of validation by the Curia. A military-scholarly order dedicated to the protection of the clergy on the road and discovery and translation (OOC: creative writing) of ancient texts with a semi-moniastatic RP lifestyle.
But that's all I know... _________________

Ok.
I know the order of St Jérôme and the Order of Her Sacred Rose.
I know only by name the Order of Saint Loyats of Canterbury.

The monastic order of Saint Thomas opened a priory in England, but it's now really what we can call a strong order... even in France. _________________

there are also 3 members of the Teutonic Order in Kendal.
However, I was wondering where or who we have to join for a recognition and if we are allowed in England as MRO.

You would need to ask His Eminence Lorudce, the Cardinal Primate of England. Also you will want to contact His Eminence Kreuz de Castelnou of the Holy Armies. I would also recomend as a courtesy, contacting the archbishop of York as you are currently based in his metropolitan diocese. _________________ Former Bishop of Clifton

We are currently still in the process of ironing ourself out, so to speak. As soon as we have some of the basic things solidified I will request permission of Cardinal Lorudce to open our doors. Until that time I can ask only for patience. _________________

Thank you Loyats. I'm the County Sergeant, even thoughI have RPed not carrying arms, I would still like to guard against an event where I may be required to carry ceremonial arms. So please let me know whenever I can at least join in spirit, the "posting" can come later. |

We are both a scholarly and soldierly Order, so I am sure there will be something you can find to suit your own tastes and still serve the Church.
OOC: Besides in-game escorts we will have RPs as well as creative writing to help push forward the RP of the Church. So no worries about the arms thing, we have a Chaplain as well, and as a Priest he can not bear arms, but still he serves. _________________

I am an aspiring monastic, but I'm finding it a bit difficult to discern a vocation, or even learn much about the various orders. Although it seems as if there are several extant orders, it also seems as if none of them are active (except for the Order of St Jerome).
So my questions are: how might I pursue the ascetic life? To whom should I be applying? Are there enough monks in the game to make it worth pursuing? |
