Estevan had followed the ceremony recite like everyone else. Now he was going to witness an ordination. He answered yes to his Eminence Hull.

Yes, I obviously agree with that.

"Well then, we have a new ceremony... let the bells ring!"

The Cardinal had a novice ring the bells will he, and another novice went to the sacristy to bring out a few objects. The two novices then placed small columns and traced a circle on the ground in front of the altar and of Hull.

Once that was done, Hull spoke to the few people assembled.

"My dear brothers and sisters of the Faith, today we see a new member of the Community, but also a new member of the Clergy."

It is always a great relief to see our circle expand, with this faithful whom wishes to be devoted to our great cause. If this is good news for him and for us, this is also good news for the future faithfuls who will see a new guide join and serve them. But, a man who agrees to make certain sacrifices and live by a strict code of conduct must be ready do take this choice. For there is no greater failure for a priest to be defrocked by petty desires and petty reasons.

We owe, to ourselves, to advance together because we are so few in number in many parts of this Creation. Our office and mission is more demanding, more engaging, more thankless as all others that we might encounter in this temporal world. We must work together to spread the message and the influence of Rome for centuries and centuries, as each advancement in our goal of serving God makes us lessen the burden by a bit.[/b]"

The Cardinal looked at the Roderick and signaled him to come closer.

"My son, step forward, to the outskirt of the marked circle on the floor in front of myself. Before we begin, we shall confess ourselves and speak, before moving into the circle and the ordination part of this ceremony. We are witnessed by the Primate Estevan, but also by this small assembly of curious and supportive members of the Community."

He smiled.

"Now, let us pray and confess once more :

I confess to God Almighty
To All the Saints
And to you also my Friends,
Because I have sinned
In thoughts, words and actions
I beg All the Saints and You, My Friends
To pray to the Creator for me
May the Most High grant us forgiveness
Absolution and forgiveness of all our sins.

Amen!
"

He then waited for Roderick to finish the prayer before continuing into the next preliminary step.

"My son, it was your wish to join the community of believers, and hence the Aristotelian Friendship. As you are now going to partake into the next step of the said Friendship, as a baptized faithful, we need to hear your intentions. Thus, before being ordained a priest, it is fitting that you should declare before the assembly your intention to receive this mission and ordination. This long-standing custom is one that nobody one escape, not even when I was in your place. So tell me now, my son, before the Most High and our witness, do you want to be consecrated to the priesthood of the Aristotelian Church?"

The Cardinal looked a little surprised and when Monseigneur Estevan agreed with the ordination, some people quick started to prepare the church for the ceremony. When the Cardinal asks him to come closer, he steps in the direction of the Cardinal, waiting for what was gonna happen.

He said the prayer with more coinfidence then normal.

I confess to God Almighty
To All the Saints
And to you also my Friends,
Because I have sinned
In thoughts, words and actions
I beg All the Saints and You, My Friends
To pray to the Creator for me
May the Most High grant us forgiveness
Absolution and forgiveness of all our sins.

Amen!

He smiles at the Cardinal and feels happy from the inside, a warm feeling.

Yes, yes I do. I want to be a priest in the Aristotelian Church to serve God.

The Cardinal smiled at the reply and nodded his head. He looked at Estevan, who was standing nereby as witness. Hull signaled the priest-to-be to stay immobile. The Cardinal went up the steps to the religious pulpit and opened the Book of Virtues. He then started toread the customary passage.

Prehistory - Chapter 1 a écrit:
1 The humans were from then on the children of God. As a consequence, they were now endowed with a soul, which would be judged at the end of times according to their practice of virtue. Moreover, it was required that they now dedicate themselves to work to ensure their subsistence. The other creatures of creation, excluding only that one which the Most High had not named, were made subordinate to them. The human ones could thus cultivate them and raise them to be their nourishment.

2 God did not intervene any more in the world, letting His children live and thrive. He had given to the creature that He had not named freedom to try them so that they must choose between the way of the virtue and that of the sin. Being omniscient, He knew already how would be their future, but He wanted them to prove reliable, without judging them in advance.

3 Oane, he who had correctly answered God, had now passed from the simple status of spirit of the community to leadership of it. He did not baulk at the task. He led them throughout the world to a place favorable to their prosperity. During these years, they crossed deserts, mountains and plains throughout the whole world. Oane became increasingly weakened throughout this journey, but he never gave up.

"Thus, to guide one's neighbor is not an easy thing. On the other hand, the will and the courage, punctuated by Aristotelian friendship, allow the clergy of our Church to work in order to propagate the true faith. Oane lived like that. It will be your turn, my son, to do the same thing. You will guide the faithful, so that they may abide forever in virtue and reach toward the perfection of the Aristotelian Friendship."

He then returned from the pulpit and took his place in front of the altar, visible to all the people i nthe Church. In front of him was the circle; and in front of the circle was Roderick, still waiting.

"My son, now step forward into the circle and kneel. I will speak, and you will answer and act. Only God will judge, not I nor man."

Once the dutch faithful had entered the chalk circle, Hull signaled the two novices to come forward and to do the next step. One of the novice redrew the circle around Boguslaw, a symbolic gesture to show the Aristotelian Friendship surrounding the young man. During that time, the other novice moved the four colonnades onto the circle's border, placing them at each of the cardinal points. The novice ended the redrawing of the circle and, putting the chalk away, went to help the other novice place four symbolic objects on the four colonnades. These items were a basin of pure and blessed water for the water element, a small flame for the fire element, a cut stone for the earth element, and a censer for the air element. In fact, these objects represented the four elements of the Aristotelian theory. The circle and the future priest figured the last mystical element: ether, the symbolization of the soul and the presence of the divine in all things, as well as Aristotelian Friendship and its enveloping love.

The novice returned to a corner, and the Cardinal then continued the ceremony. He came forward and placed himself beside the brazier, but remained outside of the circle. With a strong voice, using a very serious tone, he spoke directly to the kneeling man. His gaze was strong, piercing into the soul of Roderick. In front of the holy symbols and the sight a such a piercing gaze and powerful words, a weak or sinner would have fled.

"Faced with the blessed flame of the brazier rising towards the sky, do you promise to live in communion with the work of Christos and Aristotle, as well as in the respect and obedience of the hierarchy of the Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church?"

The Cardinal then dropped into the circle a small idol of twine. In the body, a small paper was wrapped around and contained a message. Upon inspection, if Roderick choose to read the small paper, he would be able to see the name of Asmodeus, the prince-demon of lust.

She feels happy for Rick that this is going to happen and above all that he took the stap to ask to become a priest. He is the second de Pirou that becomes a priest and she starts to think that she took the wrong staps in life. She chuckles quietly.
When the ceremony continues she listens again with a smile on her face.

The Cardinal let Roderick know to stay where he was and started to read a passage from the Book of Virtues. He listens fascinated to the words, although he had read these words already for a billion times.
When Hull tells him that it is now his time to guide his neighbour and tells him it won't be an easy job, Roderick nodds. He knows, it won't be an easy job at all in Holland.
Before Roderick is a circle, drew with chalk at the floor. Hull asks him to step into the circle and kneel. With some little hesitation enters Rick the circle and kneel on the ground, before the Cardinal.
Then a lot of things happen, another symbol has been drawn at the floor, some elements are put next too him.. He recognizes the four elements, air, earth, fire and water. The Cardinal comes a little closer, he looks very serious and with an hard and powerful voice he starts to speak to Roderick. It makes him a little nervous, but he nodds, looks at the Cardinal and speaks.
Yes father, I promise to live in te communion with the work of Christos and Aristotle also in respect and obedience of the hierarchy of the Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church. He thinks about the words he said for a moment, things are getting really serious now. But he is sure of what he is doing, this is the life, the future he wants. Then the Cardinal dropped an object, wrapped in paper. For a moment he looks at it and then decides to pick it up. He reads the paper, Asmodeus, ofcourse he remembers that name. He looks at the Cardinal and whispers. Asmodeus.. Prince-Demon of lust.. He looks at the column with fire. He looks at the paper in his hands, he slipts the paper in small pieces above the fire, so the paper will be destroyed till the last bit.. So Asmodeus, Lust, his lust, will be destroyed. Then he faces back to Hull.

The Cardinal, satisfied by the action of the dutch, nodded his head and said :

"May the Aristotelian Fire purify and bless this servant of the Most High, may he be warded from luxury and sins of the flesh!"

Then, Hull then faced next small cloumn, inviting by the candidate to turn to face him. On it was the carved stone, which had a slight recess on the top. A small object could probably be fitted in the slot.

"My son, facing the carved stone, the foundation on which rests the whole architecture of the Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church, do you want to dedicate your life to follow the path illustrated by the words of Aristotle? Do you promise to live in communion, with your colleagues and for life, with respect and obedience to the Faith and our dogma?"

Upon his words, the Cardinal dropped into the circle a small wooden cross, symbol of the unwavering faith that Roderick had to always keep in his heart. Would he keep his faith for himself, reject it, or plant it upon solid ground upon which to build a church of faithful?

He repeads the words of Hull inside his head. I was aware of the sacrifices he has to bring, it hasn't been an easy choice, but he is convinced he made the right one. Then, the Cardinal invites him to look at the second column, the one with the carved stone. While looking at the stone, he nodds. Yes Father, I want to dedicate my life to follow the right pad to the kingdom of the sun, illustrated by the words Aristotle taught us. I promise to live in communion, with my fellow clerics and for life, with respect and obedience to the Faith and our Dogma. Then the Cardinal drops a wooden cross into the circle. He kneels and picks the cross. For a moment he doesn't say a single word. The cross.. symbolizes the Faith, the Faith we all need. He didn't really know wether he talked to himself or to someone else. But the Fait he has is not something to keep for himself. It was his task, his mission to share it, to preach the Holy word and help others on their way to lightness. He faces the stone and puts the cross in the small recess at the top. It is my task to help others on their way, to teach them the word of God. Slowly moves his hand away from the stone again.

Hearing the answer, and witnessing the action, Hull nodded his head and said:

"Let the Aristotelian stone purify and bless this servant of the Most High!"

He moved once more, this time facing the colonnade on which was the water. He signaled to the ordination-candidate to follow his movement.

"Facing water, symbol of purity, promise to share with all your heart, with all your soul and without any restrictions the precepts of the Aristotelian ethics. Do you promise with all your heart, your soul and without restriction to refuse to sink into sin by cultivating virtues and fighting against vices?"

Waiting for the answer, the Cardinal also waited for the act. He dropped into the circle a pebble, which was dirty to symbolize all the other sins that humans did. But, like a sinner, the pebble could be purified and washed.

Hull looked at Roderick and... waited.

With patience he listens to the words of the Cardinal. He feels a lot easier than at the start of the ceremony. Worries are starting to flow away. Hull signales him to follow his movement to the next column and Roderick obeys his order and faces the next pilar, this was the one with water. He nodds. Yes Father, I do, I promise to share purity with all my heart and soul and without any restrictions the precepts of the Aristotelian ethics. I promise, with all my heart and soul and without any restriction to refuse to sink into sin by cultivating virtues and fighting against vices. He grabs the stone Hull just dropped into the circle. He looks a little surprised at his hands for a moment, they are all dirty. It takes him just a fraction of a second to realize what he should do. This one feels quite personal. He puts the stone in the water and washes all the filth off. And whispers. Sinners can be forgiven. They can be purified. It is our task to help them and show them the right path...

Hull smiled slowly, is heart soft. But then, he became serious again, nodding his head and saying:

"Let the Aristotelian Water purify and bless this servant of the Most High!"

And finally, Hull went in front of the fourth pillar. Looking at the censer, also called the thurible, he observed how it was gently releasing wisps of burning incense. It was calm, unlike how violent the wind could sometimes be.

"Do you promise to respect with all your heart, with all your soul, and without any mental restriction, the precepts of the Canon Law of our Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church? Do you swear to help the children of God escape from the lunar hell, by removing them from all heterodoxy and sins?"

The Cardinal, this time, did not drop or throw an item on the ground. Instead, he signaled a novice. One came forward, placing a small iron tongs and a charcoal-holder on the floor, on the limit of the circle. The holder contained a burning coal. The young novice retreated, and the Cardinal stared into the eyes and soul of Roderick.

Then he and Hull faced the fourth and last column. There was a censer on top of it, releasing small wisps of burning incense. The whole picture looked calm, pleasent to look at. It was ease and peaceful. Then Hull asks him to do one last promise. Rick nodds at him. Yes Father, I do, I promise to with all my heart and soul and without any mental restriction the precepts of the Canon law of our Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church. I swear to help the children of God escape from the lunar hell, by removing them from all heterodoxy and sins. Then the Cardinal let someone bring some objects to the circle, he places them on te floor and leaves again. He observes the object, he recognizes them.. a charcoal-holder, with burning coal inside and a iron tongs. He feels that Hull is staring at him. He slowly kneels the grab the tongs and opens the holder so he can take the burning coal out. He stands up en walks to the pilar with the censer. He opens the censer and puts the burning coal inside. The censer almost directly start to release greater and more whisps of incense. The incense fills the place with a pleasent aroma. The smoke of incense goes up, up to the Heaven, like hopefully also his pray does. Please God, help me on this long and hard journey. He whispers.

"Let the Aristotelian Air purify and bless this servant of the Most High!"

The Cardinal smiled, but signaled to Roderick to stay inside the circle and wait. Hull returned to the altar and face the circle, the priest-to-be, and the Assembled witnesses.

"Bless be thy servant, O Most High, and grant him thy protection and thy favor!

Let us now, as an Assembly of faithful, recollect the creed of our Holy Aristotelian and Roman Church, in order to confirm our faith and the deeds we have done on this day and at this hour for the ordination of a new priest. Let us hear him recite first, and then join our voices to his.

As the ceremony continues, and gets close to it's end, Hull signals him to stay in the circle. Curious for what is gonna happen next, Roderick stares at the Cardinal. Who walks back to the altar. The last task he needs to do isn't the hardest one. He needs to sing the credo. As oldfashioned as he is, he decides to sing it in Latin.

Credo in Deum,
Altissimum Omnipotentem,
Creatorem caeli et terrae,
Inferos et paradisi,
Ultima hora animae judicem nostrae

Et in Aristotelem, prophetam,
Nicomaqui Phaestique filium,
Missum ut sapientiam et universi
Divas leges errantibus hominibus erudiret

Credo etiam in Christum,
Natum ex Maria et Ioseph,
Vitam dedit ut nobis paradisi viam monstraret
Sic, postquam sub Pontio passus est
Propter salutem
Nostram martyr perivit
Consecutus est Solem
Ubi Aristoteles ad Altissimi dexteram eum expectabat

Credo in Divinam Actionem,
Sanctam Ecclesiam aristotelicianam, romanam, unam et indivisibilem
Sanctorum communionem,
Peccatorum remissionem,
Carnis resurrectionem
Vitam aeternam.
