A special day, blessed by God and the Prophets, the Archangels and the Community of Saints of the Aristotelian, One, Unique, Roman and Universal Church.

A day when the most devious enemy had been defeated by time, time that continued to pass for all but that one.

It was time to move on, to proceed on the road to the Greatness of the Holy Church.

Today the Princes of the Sacred College officially welcomed into their ranks new lifeblood, new glorious shepherds for the greater good of the Community of the Faithful, beloved children of Almighty God.

The bells of the Basilica of St Titus rang out festively, and their joyful tolling was answered by Churches all over the world, from Rome to Strasbourg to Trier to the most distant Cathedrals.

The cardinal is on his way to the basilica.

It was a joyful day and one could tell this by the sound of the festive bells.

New Cardinals were ready to inject new blood into the veins of Holy Mother Church and it was with joy that she entered the church and sat down in her assigned seat.

She looked around and, having settled in, waited for the ceremony to begin.

Adonnis took his allotted place at the ceremony. The occasion was unique. For many months, the Church suffered persecution from the late Emperor who, overcome by the influency of the Nameless Creature, tried to destroy the Holy Church of God.

But the Church has suffered persecution since its beginnings and, as in the past, it survived to continue the work started by the Prophet Christos in spreading the Word of God and the Teachings of Aristotle.

The beauty of the occasion was therefore redoubled. The end of an era of persecution was also the date when new Cardinals were created and joined the Sacred College. For Adonnis, there was only one meaning: not only did the Church survive, but now it had its vanguard reinforced with new Lieutenants willing to offer their blood for the spread of the faith.

Gradually the Basilica was filled to attend the first Public Consistory. Deep in thought, Adonnis recalled that he himself was sworn in at the last public consistory held two years ago.

Ulli had received the message that he was allowed to take his oath today during the public consistory and that the cardinal biretta would be handed over to him.
He was just as excited as he had been many years before when he had been presented with the cardinal biretta.

Cardinal Fenice arrived and, after greeting the brothers present, took her place in her assigned seat, gathering up the folds of her cape.
It was a particularly happy day for the whole Church, a day of hope and future plans.
Waiting for the ceremony to begin, she immersed herself in prayer.

The elderly cardinal was, as always by now, late ... partly because he felt more and more the weight of the years on his shoulders, partly because he took advantage of his sick legs, therefore with the excuse that he had to walk slowly , he often arrived late.
In any case, dressed in her best clothes, including the purple cloak, the skullcap and the cardinal's hat, she arrived in the hall of the consistory, greeting the others present and stopping next to Fenice, smiling slightly, visibly tired, and asking her "How are you dearest sister?"

ZzzzZzzzz snored the good old Valyria cardinal as he was sat on his chair. He was probably dreaming about ducks. Ducklings in red for comrade duck.

Kiscsillag arrived and after a few friendly greetings, still weak after her recovery, she sat to her assigned seat and prayed until the ceremony started

In the Palazzetto di Tizio da Spoleto they were celebrating, or rather, hastily making the final preparations for Felipe's great day, because the Public Consistory for the creation of the new cardinals was to be held. Knowing how to wear the magna cappa was an odyssey: through that hole one arm, through the other his head, the two-metre-long cloak was like an anchor that prevented the young cleric from walking around his house. Finally the finishing touches and he was ready. With the help of his servant he climbed into the carriage he had borrowed from the stables of the elder Valyria, taking great care not to stain the scarlet robe. The ride to St. Titus's Square was, as always, a torture: the potholes, the crowds that impeded the horses' progress, though at last the huge elliptical square appeared before him, with its arms seeming to envelop the faithful, and in the background the imposing basilica, its bells tolling thunderously in plenum. The square was especially crowded that day by the Roman nobility and many citizens who, always expectant of the religious agenda of the holy city, came to be present at the great solemnities.

The carriage stopped in front of the main staircase and the cardinal descended with the help of the caudatory, the attendant who would hold his cloak to prevent it from dragging on the ground. Slowly he climbed the steps and crossed the threshold of the great doors of the basilica, inside which hundreds of candles were shining and many people were waiting for the ceremony to begin. Felipe walked down the central nave to the transept, under the great dome, where the seats for the new and old cardinals had been arranged. Felipe wrapped his cloak around his right arm and greeted his colleagues in the curia, giving warm smiles to those he was most friendly with, such as Kalixtus, Adonnis, Arduino, Fenice and the elder Arnarion, whom he kissed his hand and sat beside. Where was Roderic? He hoped he was not lost in the streets of Rome, the ceremony would begin shortly.

The choir of the Sistine Chapel, arranged on one side, rose to their feet as their sochanter raised his arms and immediately the voices of children and adults began to sing a psalm that seemed to come from heaven and was quite appropriate for this glorious day:

The young cardinal had been reviewing documents in the heraldic chapel that were to be sealed and published. The staff at the chapel has been reduced in recent weeks and this has delayed some orders that had to be delivered. It was at this moment that one of his assistants made him realise that if he did not leave at this time he would not arrive in time for the ceremony, that the carriage of the Heraldic Colleges was already ready to take him to the Basilica of St. Tito.

The arrival was a little turbulent due to the number of people that day, but judging by the bells the ceremony had not yet begun. I walked down the central aisle until I reached the dome, where his brothers' seats were already arranged and several of them were already occupied. It was at moments like these that he realised how young he was compared to everyone, including Pipe. He smiled to all present in greeting, as he settled in to wait for the ceremony to begin.

Hearing the voice of Brother Heldor, Fenice had a small jolt.

Dearest brother! I'm fine, thank you, even though time passes and every day brings worries and little aches and pains.
How are you, dear?

And she made room for him.

"I get older! And old age is lucky in some cases, because the mind is no longer as elastic as it used to be, so many of the worries that plagued me in the past, now pass..." he gestured with his hand as if to simulate thoughts that fly far away, he replied to Fenice with a faint smile.

"Now let's enjoy the spectacle offered by the dear papal nephew" he said, pointing with a quick gesture to the papal seat and then with a "hop là" he sat down next to his sister.
