The archbishop of Canterbury arrived at the ceremony for the ordination of a British Isles brother. He entered the basilica and turning to the guards, "Greetings, good Sir, kindly advise that His Grace of Canturbury has arrived." This said, he followed the guards and entered the sacristy to be vested.

A letter had been received by the Queen of Ireland inviting her, her family and any Irish people who wanted to attend Brother Loki's diaconal ordination. Of course, the road was taken to this religious event. It was a great day for the Irish Aristotelians, and so the royal family, or part of it, would be present.

The royal convoy arrived outside the cathedral. Everyone got out of the carriages, and made their way to the forecourt. Orders were given to the guards to stay outside with their weapons. No weapons in a church, that's well known !

    - Greetings, I'm Adelheid de Lancastre, Queen of Ireland, and this is my family, and friends. We come to attend the ordination of Brother Loki.

The High Chancellor of Ireland was keen to accompany the Royal Family to Brother Loki's diaconal ordination.
This was an important ceremony for Ireland and for the Aristotelian faith in the island.
She made this trip in company of her friend Queen Adelheid. The Cathedral was grandiose and impressive in its beauty and majesty. Oanellig waited quietly on the forecourt with the whole Irish royal delegation.

The Princess had made the journey with her family and godmother, and those who had wanted to accompany them. It was very important for them to have Irish clerics who could spread the Aristotelian religion in Ireland. This had to be encouraged, and what better way than to attend this ceremony?
For the occasion, she had put on a pretty blue dress. She greeted the people she met and then went inside the basilica, following her mother and the other people.

The archbishop was getting dressed when he heard that members of the Irish delegation had arrived. He got dressed quickly and headed to greet them. Approaching them, he could recognise all the faces that he had seen from his previous visits to Ireland. Turning to the Queen he offered his gentle smile and a bow expressing his joy to see her present, he greeted the royal families and saw that the Chancellor was present, Greetings Your Excellency, it is good to see you here under different circumstances than our last. He smile and remembered that the last time he saw her this turned out to be different than now.

The Italian bishop welcomed the royal delegation of Ireland with a simple bow then addressing the Queen:

"Your Majesty it is an honor to have you among us! This rite marks the first step in the rebuilding of our Holy Church on the beloved island of Ireland. We are sure it will be the first of many to bring new Irish vocations and clerics to service. of your people! Please follow me so that I can point you to your chair. "

he accompanied the Queen and her retinue to the first places in front of the altar where a small tribune had been prepared for them.
Then he went to the sacristy greeted the clerics and prelates present, including the dear Archbishop of Canterbury, he wore the vestments.
The bell rang and the procession began in the great nave of the basilica while the darling sang the sacred hymns. Having reached the chair of Msgr. Francesco Maria addressed the assembly:

"Adjutórum nostrum + in Nómine Dómini"

(Our help + is in the Name of the Lord)

and they all replied:
"Qui fecit cœlum et terram"

(Who made Heaven and Earth)

The ordinand presented himself before the bishop, bowed, then knelt at his feet. After a brief moment of silent prayer, Msgr. Francesco Maria opened his arms and closed them and laid his hands over the future deacons and says:

"Frater charissimi, Diaconum opórtet Missam ministrare, ac in Missa Lectione legere, baptizare et praedicare.

Oremus, fratres charissimi, Deum Patrem Omnipotentem, ut super hos famulos Suos di lui, quos ad officium Diaconatus dignatur assume, benedictionis Suae gratiam clementer effundat, et preces nostras clementer exaudiat: ut, quae nostra gerenda sunt ministerio, His benignus prosequatur auxilio. Here he vivit et regnat per omnia saecula saeculórum. Amen"

(Dearest Brothers, it is up to Deacons to serve and do the readings during Mass, to baptize and to preach.
Dearest Brothers, let us pray our Father, God Almighty, that He mercifuly effuse over His sons the grace of His benediction di lui and that He sastisfy our preaches, in order to complete with His help di lui what we started with our ministry. He who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen)

Then approached the clerics carrying the stole and the bishop, he continued, imposes the stole over the future deacon:

"Accipe stolam candidam de manu Dei: adimple ministerium tuum: potens est enim Deus, ut augeat tibi gratiam Suam of him: Qui vivit, et regnat in saecula saeculorum. Amen"

(Receive the white stole from the hand of God to accomplish your ministry, in order to increase His grace di lui in you for God is indeed powerful. He who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen)

Two other clerics arrived with the dalmatic which was imposed on the deacon while Msgr. Franesco Maria pronounced the prayer:

"Induat te Dominus indumento salutis, et vestimento laetitiae, et dalmatica justitiae circumdet te semper: In Nomine Domini. Amen"

(May the Lord cover you with a suit of health and with a vestment of joy, and may He sorround you with a dalmatic of justice forever. In the Name of God. Amen)

Having done this, the Bishop sat down again on the chair, while the deacon dressed in the sacred vestments was on his knees before him. A cleric handed him an empty chalice and paten which the prelate placed in the deacon's hands saying:

"Videte cujus ministerium vobis traditur; ideo vos admoneo, ut ita vos exhibeatis, ut Deo placere possitis."

(Understand the ministry which is granted to you; indeed I admonish you, may you accomplish it in a pleasing way to God.)

Then he placed the Book of Virtues in the deacon's hands and went on:

"Accipe potestatem legendi Librum Virtutuum in Ecclesia Dei, tam pro vivis, quam pro defunctis: In nomine Domini. Amen"

(Receive the power to read the Book of Virtues in the Church of God, for the benefit of the living and the dead: in the Name of God. Amen)

"Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum. Amen"

(May the peace of the Lord be with you always. Amen)

And he blesses him:

"Benedíctio Dei + Altíssimis, et Aristó+telis et Chri+sti descédat super vos; ut sitis benedícti in órdine diaconáli. Amen"

(May the benediction of the Almighty + God, of Aristo+tle and of Chri+stos descend upon you; and may you be blessed in the Order of diaconate. Amen)

With the blessing, Bishop Francesco Maria embraced the new deacon as a sign of fraternal communion, and so did all the prelates present.

Loki smiles to everyone around him and moreso, to himself.

As he returns the pleasantries, he thanks both the bishop and archbishop for the honors bestowed upon him.

The Irish Queen greeted Archbishop William Blazingwill and Bishop Francesco Maria with a smile, happy to see them here again. She also greeted the others present.

    - Monsignor William Blazingwill, Monsignor Francesco Maria, I am happy to see you both again. I hope you are well.

She listened to the Italian bishop's words and nodded.

    - May God hear you, Monsignor. It's our dearest wish that our church be present again in Ireland.

She followed the ceremony in silence, happy to finally have a representative of the Roman Aristotelian Church in Ireland. They had been waiting for this moment with her husband when he was still with her. Now it was the first of many, or so she hoped. When the ordination was over, she approached the new deacon to congratulate him.

(sorry for the delay)

His good eye watchful for things around him, he wastes no time spotting the Queen approaching him. As she gets closer, he offers her yet another smile as he bows just slightly.

"My Queen. You grace us with your presence during this ordination."
