We, Aaron de Nagan, Cardinal & Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Aritsotelian Church, Archbishop emeritus of Reims, Chancellor of the Apostolic Nunciature, Viscount of Ivry, before the Most High and under the sight of Aristotle, in the name of the whole of the cardinals brought together in Sacred College,
Thus act and rule, and by our present edict perpetual and final, direct, declare, and decree the appointment of his Eminence Latan, former archbishop of York, to the episcopal throne in Partibus of Rhodes for service rendered to the greatness of the Church.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam
Fact in Rome on May XXV, of the year of grace MCDLVII after Christos
On behalf of the College of Cardinals,

Avons statué et ordonné, et par notre présent édit perpétuel et définitif, statuons et ordonnons la nomination de son éminence Latan, ancien archevêque de York, au trône épiscopal in Partibus de Rhodes pour services rendu à la grandeur de l'Eglise.
