The blind cardinal got ready to celebrate his thirteenth public ordinary consistory as chamberlain. The Italic people recently gave two excellent candidates to Roman offices, so the national seats were often vacant in the pontifical consistory: the curia just fulfilled on of them…

On an order from the Azayes, the bells rang and the doors were opened. The blind was helped to wear his officiant clothes, and censers were prepared. The ceremony was going to be exceptional.

the consistory that was being celebrated was particularly important for Msgr. Napoleone, who had been in a great collaboration with Mons. Francesco Maria. A man who had recently earned his admiration for the wisdom and foresight. It was a consistory for the church but also for the church in the south who had now a cardinal as a guide ... Mons. Napoleone was One of the first to want to be present at the ceremony

A public consistory. The perfect occasion for doing nothing with a perfectly good excuse. Mgr Alboin seated himself and waited with curiosity the begining of the ceremony, for he had never met the new italian cardinal.

Always respectful of the tradition, the very old cardinal went, called by the Camerlingo, to St Titus. Once he had given a short glance at the people already there, he took place where he had to. Waiting for the beginning of the ceremony, he started a silent prayer.

Francesco_maria came early for that important celebration and, very excited, went in a side chapel a little 'hidden and retired in prayer awaiting the start of the solemn celebration.

...

To the announcement of the appointment of the new Italian-speaking cardinal, Eloin watched for the moment when would ring the bells of the basilica Saint-Titus for the enthronement of the new purple. The Italian delegation of the Cistercian order had moved numerous for its own rise in the cardinalship, so she could only give tit for tat to her new colleague.
When the bumblebee moved off, she left her apartments, joined the basilica, and was a place on one of the benches, having greeted of a slope of the head those who were already there.

Fenice arrived and greeted all people she knew, while she was reaching her seat.
The Basilica was crowded and she could hear many voices, some prayed, others chatted quietly awaiting the start of the celebration. A new Italian-speaking Cardinal was going to be accepted in the Curia, and she had seen him grow in the community.
With a happy smile on her face, she took a seat and clasped her hands.

The herald had come late in the evening to their house to give them his message. The marquis was not at home, attending his affairs, she had read the contents of the letter and had not been able to contain her joy. Without waiting for her husband's return, she had given the order to prepare their journey to Rome for the next day. When KleeOtr had arrived, finally, everything had been already defined.

Their journey from San Miniato was not too long. They found easily a good place to stay for the night and had the time to arrive punctual to San Titus Basilique. She entered holding gently her husband's arm with her left hand, and looked for a seat.

The very first rows were for the clergy. She saw a lot of Eminences, she caught an eye upon their intense spiritual and austere face and she felt all of a sudden the whole pride she can for her son who was for becoming one of that holy people.

They found a seat not so far from the altar, she kneeled down, to pray and thank the Holy Mighty for giving them that honour and happiness.

A queen few days ago, a Prince of church now. What a honor for a father see two of his child become, after a long way, what they deserve. Proud of him. Proud of them all.

With a great smile paint on his face the marquis, rise from the floor his knees, and stand up look trough the nave waiting the rest of the family.

------------------------------------

Another source of joy for the Cistercian order. Brother Francesco_maria became cardinal.
TheAbbot of Fornovo could not miss the ceremony together with the Cistercians Brothers

--------------------------------

She would have never missed that celebration.
It was for her a double joy: sister's joy who see her brother to fully achieve his way; Queen's joy who see Primate and Ecclesiastic Minister to give prestige to himself and to the Reign.
