Citation:
Greetings men and women of the assembly,

I, Bran, son of Soulbourne((Original Character, renamed since then)), seek to petition the congregation for information on the state of the Irish church. As my father served Archbishop Caissiodiplomat as head of his episcol guard((not sure he propper paperwork was filed though as this was years ago unsure if records would exist)), I would seek interest in joining the all saints army in Ireland following his footsteps, and inquire as to the needs of the church and it's state on such matters.

I have noted that the new parish priest Aideen has passed away, and would offer my services in Lios Mor going forward as a deacon should the church have me and propper ordaination be granted, as it seems limited in options.

Greetings Bran and welcome to the Primacy. I am Monsignor William Blazing, OFM the Primate. I am very happy to hear that you wish to serve the Roman Church in Ireland. We are actually looking for men and women with the required aptitudes to serve there.

The Episcopal guard you have mentioned is no longer active, at least I have not heard of it since a while. However, thanks to King Carloman I we have managed to get bring together Ireland and Rome following a great schism that took place a few years back. A great step for the Church in Ireland.

If you wish to serve your local church, there are some procedures to follow. There are a few courses to follow here in Rome. Where you baptised?

Greetings,

As I am only recently arrived, I can say that there is no baptism I have recieved, though that is of course first on my todo list before pursuing anything within the church. I would seek baptism for both me and my fiance if it were possible, though I have had trouble finding information about the church in Lios Mor and thus came seeking the word of the assembly.

I would offer myself to the service of Jah, if not to the oaths of a full priest, and seek to bring aristelan anew to the emerald isle as my father did. If you would have instructions for me to pursue I would follow and seek them, and prove my potential and aptitude in this pursuit.

I am aware that many branches of the all saints army has existed in the past, and am unsure what current orders exist or would even seek operation on Irish soil. I know that my father had issues with the Head Inquisitor of Ireland in his days due to the fact that he was a member of Her Sacred Rose and they viewed the establishment of such a presence a threat to them. But I hope such politics are in the past and we can pursue the word together in peace against the endless tides that oppose.

Thank you for the great devotion my child. The first thing that needs to be done will be to follow the pastoral prima, the course needed before baptism. You will find it at the Pontifical university. http://rome.lesroyaumes.com/viewtopic.php?t=37700&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=930

As for the priesthood, you will have to make a choice between your fiance or the priesthood. You cannot choose both, unless you are ordained deacon.

The Order of Her Sacred Rose was excommunicated at the same time of the schism. They no longer exist here in Rome. But if ever you really want to pursue by serving the Church in the military way, we might have something for you.

I am aware that I will not be able to pursue the path of a priest with my fiance. However, I was willing to become an ordained deacon until a propper priest could be found should it be needed in Lios Mor, and tend to the flock until such a time. My primary interest would be in seeking to bring interest to the path of the church through the martial ways, protecting the church and demonstrating to the Irish that the path of the clergy is not so narrow as to exclude those who would serve in other ways.

I do not wish to become a priest or bishop, for I do not believe that is the path I am called to, but I will seek to bring the word of the church in other ways in her service if I am allowed.

I understand better now. Your desire to become a deacon in Ireland can be accomplished once the prerequisite aptitudes are acquired.

As for serving the Irish Church in with the military way, I strongly suggest that you seek an audience with HRM Carloman I. He is the Prefect of the Holy Armies in Ireland and is recruiting for both the Holy armies and the Episcopal guard. Who knows, for my journey in Ireland you might be the one in charge of my security.
He winks at the lad. What are your thoughts on my propositions?

If HRM Carloman I is the prefect, I suppose it only makes sense that I seek him out once I have completed the basic courses. Though I have heard mixed opinions about his rule and goals from the people since arriving in Ireland, the matters of the church and his reign as king are separate issues-the church will concern itself with the souls of the people, I am sure the royal family will eagerly be able to hold itself with the mortal opinions of them while we work on restoring them to the flock.

As for the escort, I will of course need properly inducted before I can perform such an honor-at least in an official capacity. But should you need it in other ways prior to that, I am sure a faithful can find the time to travel with any good clergy.

I think that it will be better to contact him as soon as possible, you never know how long the course might take to finish. I believe that if you meet him now, you might be able to get accustomed to the way of the Holy Armies in Ireland.

Congratulations on terminating the first course. For the next steps here are my suggestions. Make the steps to be baptised. I can baptise you if you wish. Also, you can take the Pastorale Maxima in preparation for the diaconate.

Greetings and apologies for my late response. I would like to take the steps to be baptised, although I am unsure who in Ireland could baptise me and later my fiance. If you would do so Blazingwill then I see no reason to decline however.

I can do the baptism. I will organise everything and inform you when it is ready.

OOC: The baptism will take place in Forum 1.
