They had been preparing for days, signing letters, sending them, waiting for the patent letters to be made, as well as the coats of arms. The whole chapel had been in great movement and if to that they added the disappearance of the Hispanic Primate, they loaded the adolescent with more work. On one side of the throne of Saint Titus, there was a table with the patent letters to be delivered, as well as the coats of arms. There were many chapel helpers standing as if they were soldiers, one of the old customs that the Official Heraldo still maintained from his time as general of the Catalan armies.

The renewal of the oath had been completed and those who would become part of the pontifical nobility were already prepared together with their families. With a quick glance, the Catalan Cardinal gave a final check and when he realized that everything was in order, he leaned towards the Holy Father
    - Your Holiness, we are ready to start - now it only remains pending, that the pope give the order.

Some cardinals would probably not follow this part of the ceremony, but Kalixtus was still sitting in the apse and would follow the ceremony. He glanced at Sixtus from time to time and smiled. He had also noticed the strained concentration of Eminence Roderic. It was a big job and he did it excellently in the White Lion's judgement.

The excellent thing about great cathedrals like St Titus Cathedral was that they were always cool while the summer sun blazed outside.

She had received an invitation to go to Rome to be rewarded by His Holiness the Pope himself. When she read the letter she could hardly believe it. It was a real honour for her and one she had not expected.
She told her beloved husband and sisters, as well as her adopted daughter, and asked that the twins be prepared.
The whole party set off as quickly as possible so as not to be late.
When they entered the holy place the blonde was surprised by the majesty and solemnity of the place. They took their seats waiting for the ceremony to begin.

It was another beautiful day for Lysiane. She had received a letter inviting her to an ennoblement ceremony. There was a lot of travelling to do and if she didn't want to invite her family, Lysiane wanted to make this trip with Vionax. Nothing was official between them, but Lysiane liked spending time with him and imagined that the feeling was mutual. Since their first chance meeting at Mathilda's house, they had written to each other and then met again on several occasions.
Arriving on the spot, Lysiane felt a certain fear come over her. She, who was destined for nothing, had, with her friends on the Besançon diocesan council, offered resistance to the invaders. Each of them had risked their lives, while others, under false pretences, had joined the ranks of the split with the Church.
The beauty of the place did not help Lysiane to feel less stressed, but as she entered, she noticed two faces that were familiar to her. Her friend Garsande, but also her friend Kali. This moment was enough for a sigh of relief to leave her lips and, on Vio's arm, she walked into the holy place.

********************************

The Basilica of St. Titus was impressive. The work and skill of the architects made everyone who saw it from afar, and even more so from inside, open their mouths in awe. The old man Campeador was also fascinated by it, but he was more of an admirer of the smaller chapels that were spread all over Rome. They had a charm that made him feel very comfortable in them.
It had been a couple of days since he had arrived in Rome. He decided to arrive in time to rest from the journey. At his age he was beginning to get very tired on boat trips, he would end up very seasick and then he needed three days to recover. He stayed at the Palazzeto di Sisto, a place that the Holy Father had given to the embassies of the Crown of Castile and Leon. A place that helped him to read and rest. The city, the palace, its architecture, he did not know very well what it was, but Sisto made the old duke rest.
He kept his gaze straight ahead, at the throne of Saint Titus where the Holy Father was seated and next to him the Catalan Cardinal Roderic. On this occasion he was alone, no one accompanied him at this special moment, but the presence and the fact of seeing Pope Sixtus again and that he had been called to be worthy of the Pontifical nobility made him feel very much accompanied.

Inès was very nervous, as she had rarely been, and her hands kept playing with each other, while her face, and the rest of her body language, tried to appear serene. She had been working for a long time, and continued to do so, at tasks that were sometimes thankless because of the weight that fell on her. When she first arrived, at the invitation of her younger brother and at the time when Felipe was studying at the Pontifical University, she saw Rome as a city full of mysteries. But some of those mysteries unravelled as she spent more time there, discovering a great machinery that only worked if each gear did its job.
Inès loved the sunsets on the banks of the Tiber, as the shadows of the imposing buildings blurred in the dark blanket of night. But how long had it been since she had seen one? From the pontifical heraldic college, to the Senate, to the Scuderia, to the Congregation of the Holy Armies. And the only haven of peace were those evenings, after afternoons in the sun in Aracoeli's garden, often painting by the pond of the ducks and swans, those gentle creatures she met on that first day in Rome, and for which, because of the love she felt for those creatures, she adopted the nickname. The Swan.
After many journeys, many stories in different places, with people of all kinds, origins and conditions, she discovered herself in Rome. Because there was a before and an after in her, thanks to this city and all the prelates she met. And now the city and the Pontificate were giving it back to her, with a dedication that moved her. Her eyes filled with tears of emotion, thinking of all this, while her steps, worldly and wandering, took her deeper and deeper into the Basilica. There is no need to explain how she was dressed, for the Swan that day was dressed in honesty and gratitude, and there is no more beautiful garment.

ENGLISH

It was a great source of pride for Nolanne to be with Garsande at this time. The youngest of the siblings kept on repeating the reasons why she had such admiration for her elder sister. For this occasion the Polar had dressed in a sober but rich outfit to honour her family but especially the Pope who was going to reward her sister and other privileged people very soon.

Rome was a magnificent city, she had never ceased to be amazed during their journey. But the Basilica was certainly the highlight of the show. The celestials were passing over everything that made up the place. Amazed, and feeling tiny, she stood back, and discreetly took her place while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Well invitation received to come to the ceremony. It is now time to find the way to it, now to the left, now right and here we are, into the room. Before entering, Persevael had a look at his clothes and put everything in order. Time to enter and hopefully not to be late. When entering, he saw different people around and two know faces. Two ? yes.

My dear Ines, always like an angel in the middle of our places, light and ceremonial. I made my way to the ceremony as you can see even if it had been a bit difficult to find the beautiful room where we are. If you allow me first, let me congratulate you for your future title and also for the work done to be able to get it.

Now if you allow me, it is time for me to greet the other person I know.

He excused a bit and went to see the other person. Someone who had been present but missing for a time, what happened ?

Don Zebaz, excellency, I am pleased to meet you again, but this time out of our normal duties. I hope you had a good trip to this beautiful place and allow me to congratulate you for your future title and the work done for it.

FR

Lordchen had received an invitation from Rome, when he let this invitation he could hardly believe it. He should come to Rome to be honored personally by Pope Titus. That was a really great honor for him, which he would never have expected.
So Lordchen set off with his bodyguard as quickly as possible so as not to be late.
When he arrived at the Basilica of St. Titus, he got out of the ducal carriage, plucked and straightened his fine robes and entered the holy place. He looked around and was overwhelmed, a truly holy place, he was very proud to be here and you could see it in him.
He sat down and waited for the ceremony to begin.

ENG:
Arates looked down at himself before entering the basilica. He wanted to be neat for what was to come. He wore the colours of the House of Merdarion. Ara had been surprised then to be honoured. For his moral sense, he did what any good Aristot would have done. It was rather Feldberg who gave him the opportunity to shine in the holy light. Strictly speaking, Ara should have thanked him. Something that would never happen, since Feldberg had strayed so far from morality and the church in his actions that it was doubtful whether he would ever find his way back. But that was the way it was - some got the chance to move up and others, on the level scale, created a new cellar.
There was something awesome about the place. He had received an invitation from Roderic and was let through by the guards after a check. It had taken a while but was not bad in and of itself. He enjoyed being treated a little easier. This reminded him of the past. Of the time when he slept in the forest more than any soft beds. Something he still did from time to time. In order not to become effeminate. It was important to him not to take the gifts he was given for granted. It might not be necessary, only it was always better to be used to deprivation than to find yourself in a situation where you would be incapacitated without some luxury. People who allowed this to happen were weak in his eyes. One should always be prepared, as a liege lord, to get one's own fingers dirty as well. Upon entering, Ara saw Kalixtus, to whom he gave a friendly nod of greeting. The Duke of Lower Lusatia was a little cautious, not knowing exactly where to lay his egg. Ergo, he sought a place at the side with his charming wife Yannah.
Ara knew personally only Calixtus. Ara knew the Pope only from stories. This would be a first today. Ara was very excited. Then he saw Lordchen, who also received a friendly nod. A smile flitted across his face, it was good to see his old friend here.

GER:
Dies erinnerte ihn an früher.

At her husband's side, Yannah entered the basilica. It had been a long time since she had been as excited as she was today. She, the simple girl from Ireland was now in Rome with the Pope!

In front of the entrance portal of the basilica, Yannah smoothed out her simple, dark red dress once more and hid one of her unruly red curls under her lace veil. She had dispensed with jewellery altogether. Yannah strode through the basilica at Arates' side, looking around curiously. How different the basilica was from the churches she knew in the DKR cities. She was almost speechless and only raised her hand to wave joyfully to Lordchen and Kalixtus in greeting. Arates led her to a seat at the side and Yannah had the opportunity to let her gaze wander through the basilica.

A strange invitation that came to pick her up at the foot of the bed. Around 11 o'clock in short. And there it is the drama, quickly find someone capable of translating English for him, Ines ?! Not on hand ... Hector ?! Obviously not ... And suddenly hand it to Richard, a young nobleman who came to learn French with the Orsenac family.

Fast forward on the trip ... Arrived at the Basilica, the blonde was introduced and once in the room, the azure sails here or there according to her desires, sometimes faces from the Empire and she will go greet later, sometimes curtains and or French ... Crossing the gaze of Ines who ended a discussion with a man! Without a chaperone! Mazette ... She then walked towards her future beautiful daughter, slipping her arm under his.

Inès ... My dear ... These Italians drive even more dangerously than the Parisians ... I almost died at least eh ... 50 times ... I tell you! Okay ... 55 times and we talk about it more!

And the Princess smiled broadly.

Direction Rome, Prince Hector had taken the road to the capital of the Church to attend an event ... a double event even. For Saint Titus, there were ennobles and the redhead had to attend. First his fiancée, not really a surprise by his commitments, he was proud of the one who would soon share his life. Secondly his mother, a surprise because it was not necessarily expected but it showed the bond that united the one who would probably become the next Reyne of France with Rome.

It was hot in the papal city and Hector was sweating, necessarily too dressed for the occasion. His coach with the Troy-Orsenac coat of arms had avoided, like his mother, several accidents to finally arrive safely, he will have to reward his driver. After telling him to have a good time in a nearby inn, he headed for the basilica. First time he came here from elsewhere, the azure gaze was impressed by the building and he let himself be guided to the place of the ceremony, the two women of the day were there.

Mother, Ines, Hello , how radiant you are.

A charming smile towards Inès before taking a seat at her side.
