It is with great sorrow, that I write this letter.
A man named Simeon.charles led his army La ligue ardennaise : la messe est dite. on our royal ground, the Margraviate of Baden, and commited a horrible crime against men and god by breaking the Sunday Truce. He slaughtered a group of people who travelled peacefully from Offenburg to Baden and while his army bears no signs of allegiance he admitted to act in the favor of the Kingdom of France.
It is not the first time, that France violated the Sunday Truce and now it is even done in regions, where people do not expect anything evil but the peace of the holy sunday.
I humbly ask the Holy Curia to excommunicate this violators immediatly! Do not turn away when godless people commit such horrible crimes against the faithful!
