In my own small way I have always tried to help the artists and the spread of art even for those who cannot afford it, by establishing a Pinacoteca in the Duchy of Modena and collaborating with the good father Alessandro in the care of the Pontifical Museums. Obviously nothing to do with what is exposed in this property of yours, Florentine artists are honored to lend their work to give glory to God, adorning churches and palaces.

Cardinal, from my point of view the Aristotle's Pilgrim Prefecture suffers from the general decrease in population in our lands. In addition to the already approved pilgrimages, which should be re-launched as many faithful do not even know this possibility that we offer, new types of pilgrimages could be developed, shorter and with a reference in the squares(*), where distant people can participate with prayer. To combine the previous functions of the prefectures which were united in the Aristotle's Pilgrim Prefecture, trips can also be made to the territories where the power of the Church has been reduced, to always make our presence felt.

Okay, I have a clear idea about the pilgrimages and they are almost revolutionary. I want four of my prefectures to work together on this project. The pilgrimage routes must first be redefined and above all, rearranged.

In collaboration with the Office of Relics of the CSO, we can and will determine new routes. These routes must be linked to monasteries and chapels, which must necessarily be listed. It is therefore necessary to collaborate with the Prefecture for religious orders and the Prefecture for chapels.

Not only relics can become pilgrimage sites, but also art treasures. Therefore the Prefecture for the Vatican Museums will be part of this dream team.

I have decided to trust you and initiate you into this great, magnificent project. What do you say?

The cardinal was never nervous when he received guests. On the contrary, he always found it a particularly pleasant moment. He was used to speak in front of many people, to entertain many people. He was used to be friends with the most powerful people and to give them the dignity and respect they deserve - as rulers but above all (much more importantly) as human beings. He loved the people - they were all testimonies of God's grace. This has always been so. He only regretted those who went their way off the beaten track. In the shadows and darkness. This was his greatest nemesis. He felt the suffering of the soul that rests in a person who did not step on God's golden path. He met humans with the care of a father.

The kitchen of the palazzo was prepared for this celebration, although this will be the first big celebration in his palazzo. There were small tables everywhere in the garden, in the salons and the ballroom, but also in the courtyard, near the fountain and the arcades. At these tables it was possible to get together in small groups and to talk to each other.

Everywhere there were also tables with buffet. Fruits, vegetables and canapes were artfully carved and presented. Delicacies from all over the world. Cold and warm dishes. Beer, wine and liquors were served as well as water, juices and well-chilled non-alcoholic drinks. The whole palazzo smelled of delicacies, but also of the many flowers and blossoms of spring - roses and orange blossoms. It smelled of incense, cinnamon and sandalwood. The salons were furnished with seating. You could also linger in the garden under the olive trees, watch the sun go down or cool your feet in the water of the pool.

His servants would fulfill every wish.

The cardinal watched the whole palazzo come to life. The driveway was covered with carpets and fire bowls were laid at the entrance. Fire bowls which were also found in the garden and in the inner courtyard. Inside, the art that Kalixtus had collected over the years dominated. Works of art from all parts of Europe. The cardinal was a true European who worshipped the history behind the objects. Stories that told of people. Of dreams, of longing and romance.

Kalixtus loved all that, it represented his essence. It was a private insight that he gave to people. Private moments he shared with his friends, with his guests.

Soiree im Palazzo Doria Pamphilj

Change of scenery for Lysiane. She changed from the harsh climate of Franche-Comté or Strasbourg to the much more pleasant one of Rome. The Emperor, and therefore naturally the wife she was of the latter, had been invited to attend a reception of Kalixtus. It was a real joy for the young brunette to travel and an honour to be invited. She and her Husband had made the trip together, arriving some time before to enjoy what could have been a honeymoon. But Lysiane knew what obligations were and she accepted without hesitation to go second, third or fourth. Coming from the high nobility and being a fervent Aristotelian, she had put her husband's well-being and love well before and above her own. But in every self-sacrifice lies an untruth.
For today's event, the young brunette had put a light dress in the dark colors she loved so much. This dress was a gift from Nicolas. Lysiane wondered as she put it on whether Nicolas would be at the ceremony. Afterwards, she braided her hair herself into a long braid that she tied with a sublime gold ribbon. Finally, she hung the brooch with the symbol of the sun on her heart.
Once ready, the Imperial couple made its entrance, like the Yin and the Yang, the brunette and the blond presented themselves to their host.

Esmeralda, who had dressed smartly for Father Yuri's reception, took secretly the carriage from the coachman and drove very very fast to go and get her grandpa, her mum and Sokrates in order to go to that wonderful party. She helped her grandfather to climb up to the box in order to be helped to drive the carriage and the horses and she asked him how to introduce herself in English to the party, while her mother was talking to Sokrates inside the carriage.

The member of the Pontifical University and the Holy Inquisition had arrived at the great palace, with an invitation in hand in case he should present it, he arrived at the steps of such a majestic architectural work of white marble.
There were not many people, so he thought he would be one of the first to arrive, so he took the time to visit the great interior chapel, its engravings, its small statues of very well carved saints. He was amazed at its great interior and walked through its corridors and benches until he found an appropriate one to locate himself.

ala arrived in Rome a few days before the soiree, and has already tried to explore this historical and beautiful city. So much history and culture. As if streets and buildings whisper a thousand stories. The Baroness is thrilled and more than impressed. Not only of the city itself, but also of the hospitable and obviously passionate people.

After another afternoon walk in the city and a visit to the Colosseum, Mala returns to the Palazzo to prepare for the evening soiree.

So her wardrobe including jewellery is already ready and a tub of wonderfully fragrant water is waiting for Mala.
She enjoys the anticipation of the soiree and also the preparation for it. While her hip-long hair is being tamed and pulled up, she already smells the delicacies that are being prepared for the evening.
So she stands there already dressed and ready to do her hair. In the colours of her family, blue and gold. The short-sleeved dress, which ends in a skirt of several layers of finest blue organza in a small train, is embroidered with golden lace on the sleeves, décolleté and hem. At the décolleté she wears a matching necklace with a blue stone, which can be found in the ear - and finger jewellery. The whole thing is completed by the small blue stones that tame the hair and the stole, also made of organza, which is still put on her.
So Mala follows the fine smells into the rooms where the soiree takes place and looks around with a light smile and in a good mood.

Is he excited? Is he intimidated? Is he absolutely insecure about what earned him the honor of being here at the festival? The answer to all these questions is clearly yes. The blond Russian with the ice-blue eyes and the white-blond hair is dressed in grey-blue fabrics, which, depending on the incidence of light, tend from the nuances sometimes in one direction, then in the other. His heart beats up to his neck while the carriage stops in front of the palazzo and the door is opened for him. A light scent of juniper berries and lime surrounds him as he nimbly jumps out of the carriage, waiting for Tjara to follow him, who is held out by a servant to help her out. "Let's go and greet the host first," he says softly to her and looks around curiously. It's his first time here and he has decided that not one little thing should escape him- no, he wants to get every single impression for himself and make a good one for the outside world. Smiling nervously, he sets off in search of Calixtus, once to greet him and introduce him to Tjara, the soon to be Duchess of Thuringia, as soon as the bureaucracy has been overcome.
