Citation: | To Their Eminences of the Holy Curia,
On behalf of His Imperial Majesty, Hadrien I, By the favor of God and Urns, Holy Roman Emperor,
From His Serene Ducal Highness, Findecano de Brancion, Regent of the Holy Roman Empire, Duke of Jülich and Luxembourg, et cetera,
A humble greeting to the readers.
Today we write this letter with a dire question for wisdom and knowledge. We have tried to ask the question to Her Eminence, cardinal Fenice Maria Helena Deversi-Aslan Borgia, who refused to give us the answer and told us to write a letter to the complete Curia. It is for this reason that we write.
It is now known that there is a law that forbids any kind of fighting on Sundays, or at least so it has been told. The Holy Roman Emperor and his Imperial Council have looked everywhere, in every law book or announcement of the Holy Roman Church. All sources within the Holy Roman Empire have been depleted to find the text that gives the law which forbids fighting on Sundays, but it was to no avail. Desperately we turned to the aforementioned cardinal, who refused to show the text, but verified its existence. We discovered that there is a lot of secrecy around this text and that it cannot be found in public. We would have to request the Holy Curia to get to know its location and to read this text, that gives all loyal believers the rule of a Sunday without bloodshed.
We therefore hereby request all possible information about the text that gives the aforementioned law, and that it be displayed in public, so that all can gain knowledge of the exact specifications of the law, as it was in power on Sunday the 16th of August.
It pains us greatly that we have to live in ignorance of the complete text. We wish to know its contents and take it into our hearts and minds.
We humbly await a response to our request.
Signed and sealed on the 30th of August in the year of the Lord 1463,

The secretary was already carrying a letter when he saw this one. He also transmitted it to the sacred college. _________________
